I stayed at the Bristol on my recent visit and the food at their Grill was superb. Expensive but reflects the quality of the meat. Service superb too and comfortable seating area where you don't have to raise you voice to have a conversation with...friends at your table. Looking forward to my next visit to Oslo!More

Loved the hotel, breakfast and friendliness. Due to change of plans decided to have dinner at the Bristol Grill on our last night. Very disappointed after reading reviews. Had Artic Char and Lamb and both were cold and under cooked. Had Char the night before...at another restaurant and loved it but not at the Grill. Figure there was a new chef. Surprised manager did not come out to address. Loved our stay just not dinner. DDMMore

The Bristol Grill serves delicious food with a Norwegian emphasis. The ambiance and service are first rate.
Had the pleasure of dining here with good colleagues, now that Covid restrictions were finally lifted. First class service from predinner drink in the bar until the bill was settled. Chose the Galician steak for dinner, including this year’s first truffles covering the salad. Will...of course return!More
Started with a wonderful chantarel soup. Exquisite. Followed by beautifulle herb-marinated pork neck. Just nice flavors to be appreciated slowly... And a unique rhubarb desert. All very balanced, delicately flavored dishes... and a great Bordeaux red on the side!
Truly a hidden gem. Situated in one of the most distinguished and historical hotels in the center of Oslo. Classic interior and ambience, both young and adult guests, contemporary music and an overall exclusive touch. We had the tasting menu, consisting of 10 (-ish) delicious...dishes. The food was served with pride, knowledge and professionalism, the food and composition was great and the wine was perfectly matched. The service was warm, professional, with a personal touch and absolutely memorable. When it comes to price, you get a lot of bang for your buck and you will be pleasantly surprised. Will absolutely come again. Highly recommended by an avid traveler and experienced restaurant guest.More
A classic afternoon tea with sandwiches, delicious scones with clotted cream and jam and fabulous desserts. Not outrageously priced. We had reservations at 4pm, but still had to wait awhile to get served.
Came to this restaurant after I tried to come in a few days before with my friends without reservation and was turned back. I came at 815 pm and easily got a seat - not a surprise since the Norwegians usually have early dinners! Menu...had a Christmas theme and it did not disappoint - I did not choose the Christmas menu though. I ordered the beef brisket. I noticed they had fish on the menu too The beef brisket was nicely cooked, tender and cooked with a very nice sauce. The kale on top was perfect as it soaked the sauce. Service was very good and the waiters genuinely was interested to explain the menu and give recommendations. The end price was not surprising, suitable for this place Recommend this place highly for dinner!More
We were on tour with a group of about 27. We also used some room facilities here for our classes. The luncheon was served quickly and was hit and very good. We saw the buffet as well as what other diners were eating and were...well pleased with our set menu. The staff took good care of us and we left quite satisfied. Thank you, Bristol.More
All the dishes were really well cooked and served. Grilled monkfish was excellent and the wine list was impressive. Really good service also for a larger group.
A nice place to relax with friends after a visit the Bristol Lounge is open relatively late for Oslo, until 11. We enjoyed tepid “hot” chocolate and decent ice cream in a luxurious, old world setting. You’re paying for the setting in the hotel’s lobby...area.More
My boyfriend and I wemt on a lunch date to bristol, and we ate from the sandwich buffet witch was delicious. The sandwiches tastes so good, and looked beautiful. The service was perfect, the staff was always ready to help. We are going back for...more lunch dates at Bristols!More
This place serves as the breakfast restaurant for Hotel Bristol and as bar later in the evening. The breakfast buffet is outstanding, but the rest of the day, the place is dead. We had aperitifs there two night in a row: the place was dead,...the selection of wines by the glass, mediocre, and the service, barely adequate. We tried to have dinner the first evening, after a long overseas flight, but the bartender talked us out of it. He indicated there was no real food, although if we really were desperate, they could make us a sandwich!More
We have been more than happy with the Grill so far, but this visit turned out to be a disaster. There was no stress with few guests and plenty of staff. Yet, we were thoroughly ignored after our main meal. They did not serve the...drinks we ordered, they never asked if we need anything. We simply up and left, wondering if we would ever go back!More
