Place to try local fresh fish and Norwegian dishes. Nice stuff. Price are moderated, if you have time - worth to visit

Came here as we saw the reviews on trip advisor and we wasn’t disappointed! The staff were friendly. The menu is only small but I think that is sometimes better. I had the mussels that come with chips- was delicious and a massive portion! Must...More

We are repeat offenders to VulkanFisk and make a point of visiting everytime we are in Oslo. The food is superb, simple and well executed. The fish soup is alone worth the air fare! Go, indulge and enjoy!

Ambiance was great with a great view over the other dinners and we were upstairs in the market restaurant. Service was awful slow and none communicative. Menu was limiting and my fish and chips were just over cooked and dry.

I tried for the first time a typical fish soup with salmon and cod and it was the best plate that I ate in Oslo. The place is in Oslo central market and it is different from others because you have the fresh fish in...More

I had the fish soup which was very very oily. Even after stirring it there was just oil floating on the top. It was served with 2 tiny pieces of bread. For the price it was not worth it. I have had far better fish...More

Really this wasn't at all what I would think from a restaurant in mathallen. Grumpy waitress that was stressed and rude. The food took long time before it came and was cold when we got it. No flavor, no presentation feels more like being back...More
