Located in the Akke Brugge Marina area of Oslo, Lofoten Fiskerestaurant was excellent. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. Our server was a very pleasant young man and did a great job. We ordered the Seafood Tower and split it and it was loaded with a variety of shell fish including a whole lobster and more than... We had a business lunch three ladies enjoying the fantastic view while the sun was setting. Fantastic food and ambience. The service level could have been better in regards to attendance to drinks. In all a good experience.

This is a nice, expensive restaurant in a great location, with delicious dishes and good service. We enjoyed their special dish - whale meat.

The restaurant is located, along with many others, in the Aker Brygge area a short bus ride from the Central Railway/Bus Station. The whole area is a planned business and residential area which has great views back to the Akerhus (castle) and the Oslo fjord. Wehad a timed table, which worked well as many of the diners already there were... More

During our visit to Oslo we had dinner at the restaurant. We enjoyed the food and service so much we went back a second time. My wife loved the seafood soup and I found the fish menu superb with a great rand of dishes to choose from. The restaurant is situated on the waterfront. Would definitely recommend.

Lofoten has a beautiful location in front of the sea, you will enjoy walking to the restaurant to smell the very fresh air, and have a nice inner peace. When arriving the restaurant, you will see the oysters inside the water box, and start feel you are about good food experience. The sea food was wonderful, the startup consisted of... More

We tried this restaurant for our last dinner after an epic tour of Nordic countries. It was on the Old Dock and you reached it by taking a leisurely stroll along the waterfront. You cannot get a taxi to take you to the front door. Ambience and service were excellent. My friend kept talking about how good his fish was... More

Location and views are perfect. Menu is a simple, but modern take on Norwegian cuisine. You can order a 3 course pre fixe or a 4, and with the three you can select ANY 3, you are not required to get the dessert. Fish was super fresh and the sauces and accompaniment were all well prepared and tasty. The service... More

Description
Lofoten is an elegant, yet cosy and relaxed seafood restaurant on the edge of Aker Brygge with an exquisite maritime menu, good beverages and excellent service. Lofoten pride themselves in serving the best fish and seafood the sea has to offer. The restaurant's philosophy is to serve rustic food that not only looks good, but also tempts the palate and satisfies one's hunger. The menu changes 7-8 times a year and reflects each season's specialities. January-March: Steamed cod with liver and roe, flown in from Lofoten! April-September: Summer menu, 200 seats outside with a great view of the Oslo Fjord. October-December: The Norwegian speciality lutefisk (cod treated with lye).
