Are you up for a treat in Oslo , then this is the place ! Bent Stiansen and he's amazing crew makes the most delicious food and got the best wine menu . It's so delicious , creative and just top notch. The restaurant is small, so it might be smart to book a table. It's perfect for family dinner... More

Prepare for an excellent combination of wine and foods, a bit expensive, but good for food lovers...

We dined on 22 Dec, the last service before closing for the holidays, and were treated like royalty. Our dinner began with a delicious glass of champagne, our Sommelier (well soon to be) Nickie Larsen, recommended a great bottle, she followed it up with an amazing wine pairing with our meal. We ordered the 5 course prix fixe menu option... More

Such glorious food. Wonderful different tastes. great appetizers from the chef. We had the five course meal as the degustation meal was more than $450 aussie dollars each. It was quite enough food. The wine waiter was fantastic and sadly we didn't leave him a tip mainly because i paid for once and was confused.I still feel bad about that.... More

Great staff, very attentive. Food superbly cooked. Good variety of different flavors and such a pretty way of presentation of it all.

We were 15 familymembers in a family celebration in the separate rom they have. The interior gives a clear statement of that "we know what we are doing", but in a subtile and polite way. They just know! Everyone else know it too, because they have been delivering at this top level for years and years. We had the five... More

Had a fantastic evening at Statholdergaarden. All 5 courses was great, the wine just as good. The service was as it should be in a restaurant like this.

A 6 course dinner with a varity of different course and taste - realy living up to the one star In the Michelin guide - they can be proud of it. Friendly and discrete serving personalities, only visible when they inform you of the content of the ingridients and the wine. Recommendable but reserve your table in advance. The most... More

One of the finest gourmet restaurants in Oslo, located in a 17th-century building in the old city centre. The ceiling has some of the finest stucco work in Northern Europe. The chef, Bent Stiansen, won the prestigious chef championship Bocuse d'Or in 1993. Order from the à la carte menu or try the six-course menu of the day. The menu is composed of the best ingredients available at the time Stiansen uses high-quality Norwegian ingredients, coloured by European tradition. Chambre separée for 8-24 persons. In the basement you find the more informal Statholderens Krostue, which is open for both lunch and dinner.
