We booked our table at Statholdergaarden months in advance and finally our weekend visit to Oslo arrived. Finding words to describe our experience is difficult! From the second we entered to the moment we left (four & a half hours later!) we were immersed in...More

Statholdergaarden is "world famous" in Oslo for long standing quality in every detail. We visited for a family dinner in August. Our expectations were high, and we were not disappointed - at first. The staff was utterly polite and endured our many questions about food...More

This proably is Oslo's top of the line eatery - in a class by itself in this city. A rather inventive menue was awaiting us, seven courses (that in reality was 12) was escorted with a wine menue that was a perfect match. Most of...More

Well worth its Michelin star, this fine old restaurant welcomes you into a spacious dining room in a historic mansion. The staff made us feel like honored guests. The food, though not innovative, was excellently prepared and presented. Go and experience elegant Oslo.

Hi, Do you serve Halal food?

I'm not so concerned about halal. The citchen is typically French, and I do not think they put too much emphasis on halal. Your question is best answered directly from the establishment.

Description
One of the finest gourmet restaurants in Oslo, located in a 17th-century building in the old city centre. The ceiling has some of the finest stucco work in Northern Europe. The chef, Bent Stiansen, won the prestigious chef championship Bocuse d'Or in 1993. Order from the à la carte menu or try the six-course menu of the day. The menu is composed of the best ingredients available at the time Stiansen uses high-quality Norwegian ingredients, coloured by European tradition. Chambre separée for 8-24 persons. In the basement you find the more informal Statholderens Krostue, which is open for both lunch and dinner.
