I'll keep this tight, as everyone seems to be writing the same reviews that I agree with. It's one menu but you can choose between 3, 4 or 5 course. The fish cookery is superb and the wife and I took 4-course (skipped dessert) -...she loved the monkfish with risotto (as did I) but the main halibut for me was the star of the show. My teenagers skipped the risotto and went for dessert. Wine pairings were generous pours and very well chosen wines. Would I return? Absolutely.More

The food was amazing, great combination of different tastes, excellent portions, perfect presentation. Also the staff is very professional and relaxed at the same time, atmosphere is truly wonderful. We were surprised that they don’t any Michelin star yet!

We are regular guests at the Fjord for many years. Apart from a very friendly and professional service the food amazes us each time ni.amtter what of teh year-spring summer autumn! Fjord is an exuisite restaurant with best sea shells ,fish and sea food. If...you vist with people who perfer continental food the meat choices / grill are as well spectacular. Sometime we order less just to have space for desert- there's nothing like Fjord pancakes or Apfelstrudel. And the best thing it all comes for a reasonable price! I had the four-course dinner and it was an absolute delight to savour it with some champagne. Really good quality the whole meal and staff was superb.

The five course menu was all cod and it was the best cod I've had. I never knew cod tongue or cod cheeks were a thing. Each course was better than the one before. Excellent wine pairings. A busy server did a wonderful job and...was fun to talk to. We even got a free round of champagne for having to wait just five minutes for a table to open.More

Excellent food, perfect matching of wine and a service that is unmatched. All our questions answered no matter if it was about the food, the wine or the interior. An evening to remember.

Food slightly above average, service very mixed (we were served by several different people, who ranged from pleasant and helpful to brusque and offhand), wine pairing merely acceptable but volumes poured were minuscule making it poor value. Cannot recommend.

Fabulous Norwegian seafood fine dining experience. We were looking for fine dining with a local flare. This restaurant was a highlight of our trip. We enjoyed a 4 course. The soup was the best, I usually don't like fish soup but this one was amazing,...creamy with various types of fish. Highly recommend to do the wine pairing with the menu, it was fantastic and found new wines I'll be trying again in the future. The service was also extremely friendly and efficient. 5 stars!More

A thoroughly enjoyable evening. Great food, beautifully cooked with really excellent wine pairings. The atmosphere was pretty relaxed and the service attentive without being cloying. All the food was good - but you should definitely get the butter-fried bread. Heavenly!

Hmmm. Over the past few years I have had some amazing meals here. This time was not at that level. I don’t know if this is a trend or if we were there on an off night. The atmosphere seemed to have changed from intimate...and cozy to something that seemed more corporate. While the servers were great, the overall sense was less personal. And the food, which had always been a highlight, was frankly disappointing. The main dish was supposed to be the halibut, but frankly it was inedible. The fish was soggy and the sauce overpowering and off putting. Small dishes beforehand and desert were very good, but I couldn’t eat more then a few bites of this. I’m not sure where that leaves me with regards to Fjord. I’m not in Oslo that often, so I’ll be looking at reviews before heading back to this restaurant as opposed to others ( and tbh that makes me a bit sad as this has been an absolute favorite in the past).More

Chef Richard is an outstanding chef and personable as well. He came out and talked to us between services and recommended a great restaurant in Bergen. The wait staff was excellent as well. Our waiter Burak, remembered us from the reservations we had made the...night before. He explained each course in accurate, understandable detail, very friendly too. The prix fixe meal was fantastic, from a salmon on rye creme fraiche starter, a soup with pickled celeriac and scallops and langoustines , halibut with fish roe and hake with red wine sauce. There were two tiers of paired wines, good and better. We chose the good pairing and were not disappointed. The dessert was also outstanding and all in house made- Pumpkin seeds, pumpkin cake and raspberry sorbet. This was one of our best meals on a trip of almost a month.More
