We were here for the first time. The meil was excellent, well balanced flavors. High end in all the ways. Located in the heart if the city overlooking the Cathedral.
The service was a bit slow and dull. The waitress who spoke english was busy receiving guests and tend to attend the ones who are already seated and waiting for the service. I think this is a drawback for otherwise a fantastic restaurant.
We will come back again anyway.

Great location in city centre. It had rained, but blue sky and sun was coming so we were able to get a table outside. Ordered some starters (spring rolls, tempura shrimp and chicken satay) which tasted really good.
For main course we had ramen, crazy duck and paneng curry. Ramen was a little bit tasteless and the pork neck was not tender at all.

The food was only OK for me personally, I wouldnt go back there based on flavor. Ee had sushi and two other side dishes. Staff was rude and very cold in contact. We waited FOREVER for our food, and after that - to pay. Honestly, I would rate this place with 2 stars, but Ill give it 3 as an ordinary restaurant that I have only been to once. Better luck next time!

Me and my friends wanted to eat asian food. There were 9 of us, plus 3 small children. Everybody went ahead and ordered food, while I bought 3 Happy Meals at McDonalds for the small ones, since they did not want to eat asian food. When I arrived, one of my friends was on her way out, together with her two small children. The waitress said the children where not allowed to eat their Happy Meals there. So my friend had to take the food she already had ordered as take away, and go outside the restaurant so her children could eat theirs. Unbelievable!
I, on the other hand, refused to eat my food outside, so after a lot of back and forth, they made an exception for my 5-year old. Soooo bad service, and in the end they would have been willing to say no to 9 paying customers, because of 3 small children. This place is marked as child friendly, but it is definitly not!

I Do not recommend this restaurant. As we had a terrible experience. We order udon noodles. I asked the waitress is this spicy because my son cannot eat spicy food. I was told no it is not spicy and the when the food came it was CLEARLY pepper on it. According to the waitress The kitchen denied having put in pepper, and then my sister order the same dish and we all can see that the one I got was with pepper on it while my sister’s dish was without pepper . I ask the other guest sitting beside me they can confirm that there is a different between those two noodles. I asked for a new one but the waitress kept saying that there is no pepper. it is not that we don’t have money to pay but we felt we were being CHEATED. I will not come back to this restaurant and I do not recommend my friends or family to go there either.

Great disappointment. The food was tasted bad and the service was absent. Ordered Crazy Duck but it tasted old fry oil and it was not possible to get in touch with the waiters despite the fact that the restaurant was under half full. This was probably the last time I visited this place!!!

The food here is nothing to be amazed of. The sushi is mediocre, the crispy duck is poor and the Korean BBQ is extremely salty. And when the crispy duck cost 330 NOK and 8 pcs of sushi costs 150 NOK +, I can not justify giving this restaurant more than 2/5 stars.

The food:
Ramen, a Japanese soup that should be made properly.
They were unable to do this at Monsoon.
A soup consisting of a dry and tasteless piece of pork, an extremely tame and boring soup.
Bean sprouts very brown and of poor quality.
All in all a huge disappointment.

Because the ramen was such a big part of the menu I have to say I was disappointed, it tasted quite ok, and smelled fish soup. A bit too expensive considering the quality of the food. But for all, it looked like the other on the menu tasted good.

Highly recommended especially the sushi. Was here for 4 days and I just had to eat at Monsoon twice! The food was delicious and well flavoured. Tried the sushi and the Thai food. Price was so so. Compared to the other places around- this place had the best Asian food in Kristensand.

I went with my family; my dog, my husband and my 2 year and 3 month old daughter. One of the waiters behaved very badly towards us, it seemed as if she had not had a good day and there were almost no customers outside where we wanted to sit. When we got in, we all sat at a table she thought we were not allowed to sit at. With a very rough tone and body language, she said we had to get up and find another table, because there was only room for a group of six people there. It seemed completely illogical since the restaurant was empty! This created a rough and bad atmosphere, and we did not feel welcome.
My husband went to the bathroom, and our daughter ran after him. I had full control of where my daughter was because she wasn't far from me, and I thought it was good to sit with the dog so he ⁇ 't cheat and make noise at the restaurant. I really like some of the dishes here, especially pad thai. Think I have been going back to eat this 4-5 times. However, the last time, and first time with children, I was shocked about the waitress. She did only use the minimum amount of words possible to use to communicate with us. Not a smile. And what broke my heart was that she did not smile back to our 11 month old baby, when the baby really smiled and «talked» to her. It seemed so cold. That was the last time I wanted to eat here.

Great, casual place for lunch and dinner. Enjoyed several appetizers and entrees, all were very good. The passion fruit margaritas are great. I had two! The hot (spicy) salt on the rim of the glass was the perfect touch to their flavor! Service was perfect. Highly recommend.

We arrived at 8.55pm and the restaurant was going to close shortly however the staff has accepted us, advising the kitchen would be closing within 15 min. That was super nice of them so we tried to eat as quickly as we could.
The food was absolutely declicious,we really wanted to try sushis in Norway, especially the salmon. They also have fab gyozas served with coriander which I never had anywhere else, real fireworks in my mouth, WOW! Lovely place, nice decoration!

This is a nice Asian food restaurant in Kristiansand's downtown. The food, especially the sushi, is nice. Also, the sake cocktail is a must-try.
