I have eaten here a few times, traditional old house on the bryggen. The food and menu are first rate, however the prices are also very high. Great place for a romantic dinner, that you will not forget.
My wife and I ate here tonight and were both very disappointed with the food...great reviews online were the reason we tried it but we couldn’t find anything edible that justified the star rating! The building was cool (part of the old wharf traditional timber...More
I dined here with my daughter on a recent visit to Bergen, where she is studying. It is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of Bryggen. The food is excellent, served in a very traditional setting. We had the marinated trout and the whale appetizers....More
One flight up from the busy wharf, this old nugget specializes in seafood and classic Norwegian fare like whale carpaccio. My partner and each had fish- she a massive king crab (all one can eat)/ me a steaming bouillabaisse. Both were excellent and nicely presented....More

We reserved in advance by email and were greeted warmly, shown to the BEST table underneath the fully endowed unicorn and given complimentary celebratory beverages. The pace was relaxed, the company welcoming, the food superb...the most succulent halibut ever. We even received a personal lesson...More

It mentions on their website that their hours are 1600-2300 so they may be able to accommodate a late reservation but you are cutting it close for anything in this small town! You may want to call them. Perhaps you eat prior to you arriving in Bergen. We did really love the restaurant and the food was delicious. By the way Norway in a Nutshell was incredible but the ferry ride portion (most of the afternoon) did not accommodate a hungry family as it was snacks only. I fortunately bought a mediocre cheese sandwich at the stop before the ferry or purchase snacks as you'll be hungry and the food on the ferry features unhealthy snacks and food, if you are interested in that. Have a wonderful time! Take lots of photos!
