Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

OrderedMarguritas , They were sickly sweet and unrecognisable. Followed by Gratin fruit de mer, tasteless mush. Pointed out to waitress, reaction was giggled laughter. I won’t be going there again. Rubbish

In Perrybere, on the beach and in desperate need for some tasty juicy fish for lunch. Had the best Mahi Mahi filet in garlic butter sauce, using every chip to mop up the goodness. She had shrimps. Wow. Heaven. Thank you. Good beer too!

We visited Michael's place on 22nd January. It was a bit early for dinner and we were surprised there were already people packing food for home. The ambience is nice and the service was good. Michael is multi-lingual, unfortunately I haven't practised my German for...quite sometime LOL. Nevertheless there's no issue between our communication. We ordered the Benitier salad, it's delicious and nicely presented. The cost is very reasonable. Mind you the restaurant beside Michael's is at least twice the size yet with much fewer customers. All the best Michael!More

The food was not really fresh and lacked taste. They messed up the order and we received a different dish than ordered. They took the drinks off the bill for the mistake. Nice touch.

We were greeted by the owner and served very kindly. We had fun together in taking the order and having a conversation in English, French, German and a little Italian. Food was very good (I recommend the red snapper with aioli sauce) and the wine...too. It's really hard to admit for me as an Italian, but the tiramisu was over the top. Looking forward to eating here again.More

We ate at this restaurant two times. One time we had a very tasty spaghetti (bolognese and sea food) for lunch and the other time for dinner we had a fish something called like, “Babon“, a local fish. The latter was on recommendation of the...owner and it was great! Just as the starter, dessert and wines. All ingredients fit together and make it culminate into a tasty explosion for the mouth. We ate in 6 different (good rated) restaurants, even the one next door “Grill & Chill”, in Pereybere and Grand Baie bit this one was by far the best!More

We were meant to go the the Grill house simply in need for WiFi to get directions to our AirBnB, however the staff were not very helpful so we decided to try next door. We were not disappointed, Michel the owner served us in a...very friendly and polite manner explaining that payment would need to be in cash, as we were low on Rupees he suggested we try the Change Bureaux a few buildings away which we did and finally ordered two salads one crab the other octopus. The presentation of the food was great as well as the taste. We also had a couple cheeky bottles of Mauritian beer called Phoenix, which went down very well! The cost, quality and proportions were all good, well worth a visit!More

The owners are very friendly and the food is very delicious. We really enjoyed the personal touch they add to the service, being interactive with the clients. The mojito is highly recommended along with the fish samosas as starters.

Warmly greeted by the owner(mind you I was the only one there at the time.8pm) Lovely feel to the place although looks nothing special from the street. The menu covers a variety of styles found in Mauritius and the Creole sauce is marvellous. Lovely presentation and...served by the chef with a beaming smile. Would certainly recommend.More

Had dinner here a couple of times. The restaurant is on the other side of the road to Pereybere public beach. The food is very tasty and fresh. The have several ready menu options that you can choose from or if you don’t want to...eat a pre-set menu they also have a large variety of starters, snacks, salads, main courses and desserts. The mauritanian foods are really nice so try them out if you want to taste something a bit different. They also have the ”safe” options chips, beef and chicken if you don’t want to taste any new flavours. I myself loved the seafood, chunky, juicy prawns with a lot of flavour. The prices are medium range, you might find something cheaper, but if you do you might not get as good food as from here. Will definitely come back.More
