Fabulous homemade jam, delicious scones and cream, and an extremely well presented cream tea! We would have eaten in here every day if we'd had enough room in our tummies! Simply divine!

Went here basically to check it out for another family member, no scones left, cake was dry. We are local and never been before and will not be going back. The excuse they used was it was market day, well then make more scones then to accommodate people visiting in the afternoon.

It had been a couple of years since we discovered this gem so on our return to Eastbourne last week we made a beeline for Neates to enjoy some more lovely cake. A great selection available, very friendly and thoroughly as enjoyable as we remembered it to be . Wish we lived nearer!

We went to Eastbourne for a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon hoping to find a tea room and were lucky enough to stumble upon this gem! We were spoilt for choice when it came to the cakes which all looked extremely tempting. We had a slice of raspberry, lemon and coconut cake and a sticky ginger cake and... More
