A wonderful, cosy beautifully decorated restaurant with excellent service, We opted for a complete menu, which was outstanding, very tasty, beautifully served and we felt well looked after and not rushed.

Average value for the money. Mains were decent, but soup was horrible. It looked like a sour vinegar sauce watered down to pass for a soup. Lunch deals are cheap but I’m not coming back.
The meal was quite good but it was served in badly chipped dishes and not knowing if the pieces that had broken off could have possibly ended up in your meal. I complained about our starter meal being served in a chipped dish but when...the main course was served both dishes were badly chipped.More
Really gone down hill since it was the original Mr Haus. Slapdash quality, overly expensive price for poor quality food. Wouldn’t use it again
Very small portions. Really put off with the amount of dust on the wooden wall features. Very expensive for very little. No atmosphere. The sizzling hot plates are impressive. No free crackers no customer interaction.
The food was really nice great service lovely staff good value For good quality food ❤️***** Just shows you don’t judge a book by its cover Top quality food
Exceptional food, eaten a fair bit of Chinese food over the years, fresh and well cooked. Service was very good with friendly staff
News just in, Haus Oriental Express was revisited by the Food Standards Agency last month and scraped a "3" food hygiene rating, which is pretty poor. In reality it's worse as the fact my wife and I were seriously ill following a meal there earlier...this week. Will NEVER eat there again. This place should be closed down and the staff banned from working anywhere else. Horrendous place.More
Abysmal. In 2020 this place had the lowest food hygiene rating possible from the Food Standards Agency, it was revisited and got a 4 out of 5 in October 2021 (meaning generally satisfactory) so visited this week thinking it would be ok. It was disgusting,...the waitress was disinterested and within 12 hours I had the worst case of food poisoning in my life - vomiting and diarrhoea. This place would be shut down in most other towns but eastbourne has non-existent food safety enforcement.More
Used to get delivery regularly last order so late and wrong . Complained but they did not care even hung up on phone call
What a charming place. A great selection of seafood recipes. But I went for special rice, crispy seaweed and sweet and sour. Perhaps not adventurous. But I like a family restaurant. On my own with a window view of the street. Perfect.
The best food and service I have ever had.amazing flavours and so cooked to perfection u love Chinese cuisine don't miss out going to Mr haus
The food was absolutely disgusting! I ordered a take away and brought it back to the hotel. I ordered mixed meat with rice, not realising it was an actual omelette with mixed meat with stodgy rice at the bottom. Very bland with no taste. Charged...me 10p for a flimey plastic bag for the food I ordered which was over £30. I have never tasted chinese food like this before. I wouldn't recommend.More
Delicious Chinese food in Eastbourne . Great choice of delicious dishes . Reasonably priced food and drinks in a very pleasant restaurant just off the promenade . The service and food were exceptional . We definitely will be back . Love this place !
When we first starting to use Mr. Hau's, the food was ample and well cooked. Tonight we received a meal that was truly annoying, as the Seafood Starter for 2 people was so TINY. The crab cakes were the size of £1.00 coins, and the...rest was well, just ....mean! I rang them up to complain and they didn't care. Just ensured that what we received was as described on the Menu, When I said we would not use them again, we were met with indifference. Clearly they are wealthy enough not to care about complaints, or customers concerns. The picture below is what £12.50 buys you, as a starter.More
