Excellent freshly cooked food and very generous portions too. The staff are very friendly and attentive without going over the top. The locally brewed beer is excellent. Highly recommended

I was staying in a nearby hotel and when walking along the road I noticed a sign saying that their Belgian Beers were brewed on the premises. It was lunchtime so what better to do than to have a pre-prandial drink. I chatted with the owner who was also the brewer and he explained that they had previously bought in... More

When we saw there was a Belgian restaurant in Eastbourne we knew where we wanted to eat, loving Belgian seafood and particularly mussels and Belgian beer. Friday evenings there is also entertainment and the duo performing on this particular Friday were very gifted musicians. The menu has a whole page of mussel options and you would need to go back... We were staying in the hotel next door, after our evening stroll we called in for a couple of drinks, our first drink was called Blonde, a cloudy looking brew, but tasty, our second was a Christmas brew, very very tasty, and £5 a glass it was I think 14%, and very potent, I would suggest that you get straight... Pleasant meal, reasonable prices. Cold November evening so pretty empty but staff nice. Would be a good place to visit on a summer evening.

For a couple of travellers who enjoy Belgian beer, food and something different, we were delighted to find this restaurant on the seafront directly opposite Harry Ramsden's. Even better if you are a hotel guest with an Eastbourne Hotel Assoc. Passport giving discounts and other special offers at a large number of restaurants, including The Belgian Café. We went on... We ate here as a couple on 19/11/16. We ordered frogs legs and oysters for starters. We both ordered mussels for our main. The food was well presented and tasted very good. The choice of mussel dishes was awesome. The staff didn't seem to know much about the menu. The beer is too expensive! The place had some massive cobwebs... More

Was here for the weekend and as England was playing Scotland we decided to watch the football here. It was a strange feeling watching the football while a jazz band played(Football was on a french channel so the volume didn't need to be on).We felt a bit rude cheering when England scored due to the poor guys playing their music.But...
