Popped into this olde-worlde 12th century pub in the old Town of Eastbourne (not the tacky seafront part!). Charming publican explained the range of ciders, and took our order in person. Food was so fresh and promptly served and the waiting staff were lovely. Portions...More

Great place to stay if character and good old fashioned service is what you are looking for. Good food as well.

Enjoyed a family meal here to celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday. Everyone really enjoyed their food and given there were foodies amongst us that's all credit to the chef! A varied menu, so plenty to suit our party, which ranged from 11 months to 80...More

Myself and five friends went to the lamb for dinner. All our food was only just warm. The burgers were so dry that we could only eat a couple of mouth falls and they were completely tasteless. Service was good and staff friendly, two out...More

I cannot comment on the food but it looked acceptable. This is a genuine local and also a very old pub which seemed very busy. There was a reasonable selection of beers all served an a friendly and helpful fashion. I think it is unlikely...More

Character? History? Service? Relevance? This pub has got them all throughout the centuries. The Lamb is definitely the town's great charm and possession. The day this pub stops serving will be the day that Eastbourne will be ruined. And we don't want that, do we?

Traditional, timbered pub reputed to be the oldest in Eastbourne. Think 12th Century. An old well is in the premises. Once an underground tunnel connection to the adjacent Church. Harvey's Brewery, but no longer straight from the barrel. Worth a visit for the ambience and...More
