This place is tucked away at the back of a bank on george street, its nicely decorated. We called for some brunch, we both had a toasted fruit teacake with butter & jam, we also had a pot of tea + a milky coffee for our drinks. My teapot yielded 3 cups which pleases my tea belly, the teacakes were... More

My husband and I visited The Cocoa House yesterday - what a wonderful meal! My husband had scampi, chips and salad and I had the beef roast dinner. Everything was cooked to perfection. The lady who owns the restaurant is very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We have visited this restaurant many times before and always head there... More

Used to come here a lot as a child and loved it, only re-discovered it in the past year or so, and food is amazing! The vegetable curry is perfect. Lovely cosy little place!

The first thing you notice about this delightful cafe is the ambience. Cosy, friendly, welcoming, it is not until you've been there a few minutes you realize there is no natural light, but clever use of mirrors and lighting makes this bijou dining room appear larger than it is. With a decent variety of snacks and meals, a choice of... More

We had one of our first dates at the Cocoa House. Nearly 5 years later we got married and wanted the Cocoa House to feature in our wedding day. The Cocoa house couldn't do enough for us as an evening wedding venue for my husband and I. We had tasty home cooked food for our 25 guests and thoroughly enjoyed... More

Love this place, can't speak highly enough of Ann the owner. I called in advance and she bought a bottle of champagne for us (pre-ordered) to accompany the meal, which by far beats the £30 the hotel would charge us for the bottle. Can't fault the place at all.
