Been coming to this restaurant for bang on 20 years. Always visit when we come. Lovely family restaurant- family run. Food was OK but not as nice as memory would dictate. I was disappointed with the new payment process. Cash is no longer King- a...bit behind the times.More

Excellent evening at Valentino's. We used Trip Advisor to research 2 restaurants for a birthday weekend. We chose Valentino's for Italian and Roustas for a wonderful Greek dining experience ( near the back of Venue Cymru) Valentino's is upstairs, you could miss it if you...weren't specifically looking for it. We were welcomed and seated quickly. The food is excellent and very reasonable. The service is excellent, the two young ladies serving are brilliant, friendly, polite and efficient. The restaurant is small, cosy and clean. There is good distance between tables. Toilets are spotless. The House Wine was lovely at £17. Highly recommended this and the little Greek place. Try it, you won't be disappointed.More

They were kind enough to accommodate us at short notice after a long day on our holiday in North Wales. This first floor restaurant looks unassuming from the outside but is a real hidden gem; the food is was very good quality and the service...excellent. The restaurant itself has a nice cosy, relaxed atmosphere The spaghetti marinara was one of the best I’ve tried, and they were happy to accommodate my 8yo daughter who likes just plain spaghetti with cheese. Overall very good value and we left happy. Note: this place is cash-only so make sure you get some out before dining, it’s nearby a cash point.More

We had a lovely evening here last night. Booked at fairly short notice - advised cash only so that was fine. Asked about gluten free and it was lovely to have such a positive reaction. No problem - gluten free pasta available and offering to...adjust things as required. It has a very understated entrance and the restaurant is also quite understated but in a good way we felt. We liked the atmosphere. The portions were quite big but there is a half portion option for pasta. Lovely wine and we thought the menu had a good range. Everything we had was delicious and empty plates all round. My son already asking when we can go back. We are on holiday but we visit at least once a year. We were the last table in at the end of the night but we didn't feel any pressure to leave. No complaints about service - would say it was spot on.More

We decided to eat at Valentino’s as we was looking around for an Italian restaurant. We was definitely not disappointed, amazing food and great customer service. My partners family are all Italian so having had genuine home cooked Italian food we decided to opt for...Valentino’s because Antonio (Chef) is from the great country so we knew it would be great food. Thank you for our lovely meal! It was really beautiful, We would definitely recommend people to try out this lovely establishment. Many thanks!More

I love the fact that this restaurant is simple, without any pretentions, but at the same time offers delicious food at a good price, served with very friendly staff. It is not big, with only 10 tables, which is just perfect as it makes it...not too noisy. The atmosphere was also perfect, with lights not too strong. The only down side was one needs to pay cash. But they did warn me over the phone when I booked and there is a sign outside saying the same, so it was just a case of having enough cash on me.More

Looking around for an Italian meal, in central Llandudno, decided to give it a try. Food was excellent, as was friendly service despite the fact that owner was short staffed. I had pasta with Italian sausage, my wife had rice with vegetables. Both extremely tasty,...good food. Absolutely recommend.More

Superb place and fantastic food. Me and my friend went and had olives, garlic bread with cheese and some special bruschetta (with anchovies, olives and tomatoes) and then I have a seafood spaghetti for main. The spaghetti was full of prawns and mussels and extremely...tasty but the bruschetta was the winner for me. Fantastic. Katie and the rest of the staff were really helpful and friendly as well. Great eveningMore

I tend to agree with the other replies - steep stairs but I'm sure they'd make you welcome if you braved the climb.
