Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Now open after lock down, and all eating is outside. The staff have made one way systems both inside and outside to avoid overcrowding and close contact. Everything is cleaned thoroughly after each table leaves and before the next one sits down. Everything is served in takeaway containers, not for ease of staff but to keep everything safe [the containers were not cheap ones] the prices were very reasonable, the coffee, sandwiches and homemade cakes are exceptional. We loved the place, we felt like they had done all they could to keep everyone as safe as possible and still gave great value for money and delicious food. The staff are friendly and polite and you got the impression that they were really glad to be back at work and welcoming all their guests.
Well done, we will be back.

We phoned in advance to see if they would be able to accommodate a group of eight, the lady said it wasn’t guaranteed as it depends on space when we arrive, we took our chances and the lady remembered our call and set the tables for us to sit together.
I required dairy free milk and gluten free bread, all dietary needs were accommodated with a smile and without fuss. Brilliant friendly service, lovely food, great location x

We visited twice as the cream scones were so nice. Staff very friendly and engaged with the kids too. A little pricey but this isn't something solely noted at this cafe, ice cream seems quite expensive these days! We really enjoyed our visits

Hi Sarah
Thanks for your review I'm pleased you enjoyed your visit, the scones are homemade so
it's extra pleasing that you liked them enough for a second visit. I do agree we're are neither
the cheapest or dearest in the area, tho we do try to focus on quality. I hope you'll visit us
again. Thanks again.

Poorly prepared for COVID-19, queue layout is good but you need that as you queue for a very long time as the sole person taking your order then also makes any hot drinks. We had avocados on toast and a small breakfast to eat, both were tasteless, they say the sausage in the breakfast is from Edwards of Conwy, we thought flavour, texture and appearance matched cheap mass produced brands. Great location but that’s it.

Hi SJP I'm sorry you didn't seem to enjoy your visit, we normally have 2 people behind the counter, one person serving whilst another makes drinks and a third for busier periods, unless it's quiet or something has happened, either way I'm sorry you felt you had to wait too long. I am a bit concerned with your comments that our food was tasteless, as we add garlic, chilli, lime juice and salt and pepper to our Avocado and top it with a poached egg and lastly chilli flakes, whilst our small breakfast comprises bacon, baked beans, Edwards of Conwy Sausages, grilled tomato and a free range egg all apparently tasteless, yet our sausages tasted cheap? I can guarantee you we use Edwards sausages and would've shown you the packaging if you'd have raised your concerns at the time, I don't appreciate the insinuation. I'd much prefer to put the situation right during your visit and would've changed your order if you were unhappy as our aim is to have people leaving happy and coming back. I'm sorry we failed on this occasion.

Visited yesterday for coffee on our way home from holiday. We ordered two flat white coffees and when the waitress brought them they were in a fruit juice glass. Whose ridiculous idea is it to serve steaming hot coffee in a small glass with no handle. This in my opinion is a health and safety issue. The people on the next table were commenting on the same facts and had to wrap a paper napkin around the glass to lift it up to drink. Surely this cafe has cups. There were only about 20 people either on the terrace or in the cafe so they could not possibly have ran out of cups.
This needs sorting. Next time we will be looking for somewhere else to have a coffee.

Nearly everything we asked for off the menu was not in stock. Tables and chairs filthy, when I asked for the table to be cleaned waited and waited finally they came back with a dirty duster and a spray. Servers kept touching their masks and people in the kitchen kept touching their heads. No children’s cutlery a 1 year old was given an adult fork to eat their meal with or maybe was expected to eat with fingers as we weren’t given enough cutlery. One child’s meal was finally brought out a good time after all the other food, child was very upset. Servers couldn’t say excuse me when they wanted to pass the queue to go outside, manners cost nothing, not like their expensive not so good food. Child’s fish and chips with mushy peas no mushy peas crushed pea, they looked disgusting the child spat them out and they have never refused anything before. We will never go back.

I went with my mum and the dogs the other day as we live on west shore, we got there and there was already a que, the dogs arent allowed inside which is fine but the menus on the wall inside so how are you suppose to look at it? As soon as I got close to the door a young guy said you can't have dogs inside I said I know, my mum then had to dive quickly for a table so I was having to shout the menu over to her as the menu online for breakfast isn't the same and didn't want to loose my place in the que.
We decided on 2 sets of poached eggs, after 40 mins I approached a young well mannered girl to ask where it was, she then minutes later brought out 1 egg (which was hard boiled yolk and cold on 1 piece of toast) who actually serves 1 egg and 1 slice of toast when it's not for a child, at this point I was STARVING but out of principle I wasn't going to pay £14 for 2 portions of eggs on toast and 2 drinks. The manager did give me a full refund however time was wasted and we then had to go and find somewhere else to eat which by this time we had missed breakfast.
I wouldn't normally go out of my way to write a review but I had been only 4 days before and had a dry cheese sandwich so gave them the benefit of the doubt. It's alright for a drink but I would avoid the food at all cost and go somewhere a little better they may not be on the beach but it's not worth wasting your money

We had a nice lunch in here, the food was home made and tasty but we queued for around 15 minutes to order and then waited nearly an hour for food. It was very busy for a Wednesday lunchtime in September but even so it still seemed to take a long time.
Unlike other reviewers on here I love that it is dog free inside as I have severe allergies. It is a very small cafe and although very clean having dogs in there would mean I wouldn't be able to come in.

We found this while walking the western side of the Great Orme from Llandudno Junction. Right alongside the beach car park before walking up the western side of the Orme. Fresh large portioned reasonably priced homemade cakes and a varied menu with hot/cold and alcoholic drinks on offer. Either a great starting or finishing place for the walk.

This is a lovely cafe with great views of the sea. Please be aware though that dogs (other than assistance dogs) are not allowed inside the cafe. This was the greatest disappointment when we ordered 2 breakfasts after an early morning walk along the coastal path with our dog. Just after we had ordered the heavens opened, and by the time the food arrived the rain was torrential and driven by a strong wind. As the cafe was very quiet we asked a member of staff if we could sit inside but she said no, and that only guide dogs were allowed in. Our dog is very well behaved and we would only have been inside for 10 minutes or so, and no one else was waiting to be served. Although we ate most of the food it was swimming in rainwater by the time we finished. We completely respect the decision not to allow dogs inside but these were extreme conditions and the offer of shelter would have been welcome. We weren't asked if everything was ok with our meal or we would have mentioned it then.

We visited this place over the weekend and stumbled across it by accident. We both ordered Sausage and Caramelised onion panini’s and a bowl of chips to share. The food was so nice that we returned the very next day for another spot of breakfast/lunch. The raspberry iced tea was brilliant and although we sat inside on the first visit we managed to bag a table outside for our second visit. The views alone make this place a must visit but the food is also really nice.

Visited Llandudno loads of times and never ventured to this end of town as not a lot to encourage you to visit, except this little gem.
Had chilli nachos and wife had lamb hotpot, ( hey we are from Lancashire so know what a hotpot should be like)
Food very good and hot, not a huge menu but plenty of choice for everyone. Very reasonable prices and views other establishments would kill for, right on the shore with views over to Anglesey. Must visit if you want decent food in landudno away from centre of town.

Hi Draconisnobilis
Well it seems an age since february, so much has happened but I wanted to let you know albeit a little
late that we really appreciate your positive comments especially as you enjoyed the hotpot being from Lancashire. Hopefully when the pandemic is all over you'll head over this way again and call in. All the best.

What a lovely location this cafe has. It was very busy when we called in for lunch and to my delight they had crab baps on the menu. I was so disappointed, I could hardly taste any crab due to the vast amount of mayonnaise they had used to pad out the crab, I should have done what the gentleman did with his when it arrived, two bites and he took it back. My husband had the falafel salad, he said it was okay but mainly salad leaves. I would go back for tea & cake

Party of 7 had THE BEST BREAKFAST experience. Superb menu, so much choice. Staff were brilliant on a busy Sunday. Nothing was too much trouble. Vegan breakfast was amazing. Full breakfast included a very tasty selection of bacon, sausage and black pudding. Drinks selection were also extensive. We loved everything at West Shore.

Visited the cafe at the weekend. We had to battle the absolute gale force winds to get inside but it was well worth it. The staff are so, so lovely. The coffee is perfect and the waffle with toffee sauce and ice cream is the BEST waffle I have ever tasted. Absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for a lovely experience - we will be back! 😊

Hi Helen
Well thank you for battling through the gale force winds to visit us, February was particularly horrible with high winds and heavy rain but with everything that's happened since your
visit in Feb that must've seemed like an ok day. I'm sorry the reply is just a little late but wanted too say thank you for your review they do mean such a lot to the team and myself. So thanks again and hope to see you soon.
