So we went to this one because you guys rated it quite high which made me want to check it out myself, and I have to say, I quite agree with you. I went for the Vindaloo, personally as a chilli head, my personal preference would have been to have it a bit more spicy, however it was indeed quite spicy, but I do like it VERY spicy, mainly because I eat raw chillies, Carolina Reapers etc. The dish itself was very tasty and had a lot of substance, sometimes you go to places and it's just thick'ish coloured water with a couple of bits of this and that in it that tastes quite bland, and made spicy with lots of chilli powder which ruins it even more, well, this was NOT one of those places!! As I said the dish not only had substance to it by having more than 3 sparse ingredients in it. but it was very flavoursome as well, a top notch dish. My coconut rice could have done with slightly more coconut flavour in it, don't get me wrong you could clearly tell it was a coconut rice, I just put a bit more in mine, but I would very happily order this again and again. The saag Aloo was spot on for flavour and put together very well, with perfectly done potato's both in this and the Vindaloo, which also had a good amount of chicken in it as well which I forgot to mention, however it could have been a bit more tender. Both my friends dishes were also well filled out with meant and other relevant ingredients, and I was assured they were both very tasty. My last little note, is that for the price I would have liked to have seen slightly bigger portions, we normally pay around £15 to £20 less than we did here for similar dishes and drinks. The customer service was very good, not too much or patronising, I felt it was genuine and very friendly. Overall a very good experience and I will be going back here again, mainly to try the all you can eat buffet on a Sunday!

Visited on a Monday evening with five other family members. Greeted like old friends as my father in law is a regular. This was my first visit and I was blown away by how tasty and delicious everything was…even the mango chutney was extra tasty 😋my peshwari nan was to die for . Definitely the best Indian meal I have had for a very long time . Our waiter was great ..attentive but not overbearing and the manager..or perhaps owner..is a lovely guy who had my youngest son in stitches ..gently ribbing him about making him a vindaloo and then making him do the washing up 🤣 will 100% go back and would highly recommend this great restaurant. Easy to get to as well and plenty of parking.

We came out Easter Monday as a little reward for getting a bit of work done around the house this weekend, and the food was great. I had chicken peshwari, and he had the lamb shank, both very good. The lamb was very tender, and coated but not bathed in sauce, and the sauce on the peshwari was not overwhelmingly nutty like a pasanda, but just very tasty and not swimming in oil. The mixed veg (dry) was like the lamb, well seasoned. My stuffed paratha had a perfect amount of char, and the pilau, while a tad greasy, had the fun food-dyed green and red bits of rice. We had desserts, as my partner insisted he wanted to try Kulfi again, and they were exactly as expected. Two large soft drinks, two mains, two breads, rice, veg side, poppadons, two desserts, came out to £75 plus we added an £8 tip (and they packed up the leftovers for us). Only complaint was despite being quiet we had some trouble getting them to come back for the dessert order, and then the bill. All in all, a good time however!

When this place opened a few years ago great. This is the second time my party of 12 visited a New Years meal.gave a second chance.im afraid failed big time. Booked for 7.30 we got are main course 10.15 . This place can not provide hot good cooked food with a full booked restaurant and also they where trying to provide a busy takeaway service. Not enough staff im sure the kitchen staff where under great strain. Won’t be going back to this place again time to source another eating place i love madras curry but what i had dished up last night put me off . I did complain to the manager and all he said was happy new year i dont think so . End

We came here after reading good reviews and we were absolutely delighted by the food and restaurant. Firstly I loved the look, the decor really was unique and interesting with a modern feel, it felt clean and spacious and you really felt like you could sit and talk without being overhead. We did wait longer then we would maybe somewhere else for our food but in all honestly they were very busy and for us it meant more of a special occasion as we didn’t feel rushed at all, the food itself was beautiful lovely flavours great choice! Staff were very friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to come back!

We had rented a large house in the vicinity of Zaynab and needed someone willing to cater for a large takeaway order for 18 people on a Friday evening. These guys did it and did a great job. We kept the main course choices to a minimum to help the restaurant and the food ready to pick up exactly on time. Absolutely every dish and side was there, nothing missing from such a big order. The food was really good quality and enjoyed by all our guests. Many thanks to the Zaynab team

I have eaten in many Indian cuisine restaurants and had many an Indian takeaway but WOW I have never ever tasted such superb food. The chef is a genius the individual flavours in every mouth full were to die for. The staff are very attentive just raise your hand or look in their direction and a member of staff is at your table to ask” can I help.” If I have never recommended a restaurant or a place to taste the exquisite spices of India then please try the Zaynab, you will not be disappointed.

Posted as terrible as aware these are all people mostly read, the food was actually ok but . . . despite the quality of the food the prices in the menu excludes VAT - is this a thing outside builders yards? Admittedly it was in small writing at the bottom of the front of the menu (not inside where the dishes and prices are) where it was easily missed. An averagely expensive curry came out creeping towards Michelin prices when the bill was presented, £17.90 for a curry, £7.80 for a beer, really, This addition of VAT felt sneaky and sly penny pinching, coupled with them also charging over £2 if wanting to takeaway leftovers I dread to think what other penny pinching techniques they're using in their purchases for the extra pennies savings. They trousered (!, i know) an additonal £4 from me taking off the tip I would have left and in addition have also lost a booking for six people for their Elvis night, future business from me and future business fram anyone I spread the word to. I live local so their short sighted what I perceive to be either greed or desperation has resulted in the loss of probably over £500 of additional business. This is a strange way to run a restaurant but hey ho, as mentioned the food was ok but massively cheaper a little down the road in Ipswich.

Our meal was perfect from start to finish. It has very authentic Indian cuisine, it was tasty and you know everything is freshly cooked. The staff are very attentive and polite and made our evening that little bit more enjoyable. The hot towels and chocolates are a nice touch to the end of the meal. We will definitely be returning.

I had heard a lot of good things about this place, but I was underwhelmed. The interior is very nice and the staff were all very smart. The service was very friendly but a bit disorganised. Sadly the food wasn't great. The curries we had were all a bit greasy and didn't have much flavour. The vegetable side dish was so sweet it was more like dessert. The rice had the red food colouring like you get in cheap restaurants. The menu is quite expensive and then they add 20% vat on top, so I don't think it is very good value. In terms of flavours, this place is miles behind its main competitor in Ipswich. By no means was it a bad meal, but it wasn't what I had expected.

I had a delicious meal at Zaynab with my family, we usually get a takeaway from them however this time we decided to eat in the restaurant: a decision we should have taken awhile ago. The staff were very friendly and served us quickly. The food was delicious, I opted for the chicken tikka masala: a dish I would definitely recommend. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great. Zaynab is very accessible as is right next to the A12 and there is a lot of parking space which always helps. The restaurant is surprisingly quiet however ( bearing in mind it’s next to a busy road), you can’t hear the noise of the road at all! Will definitely be returning again for another tasty meal. One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to!

2nd time going and food was very nice again yet felt a bit robbed being asked to pay 20% VAT after on top of what i thought was the prices as not included on menu prices. Making the meal over priced. This is a bit underhanded and will cost them long term for returning customers including me.

We visit Zaynab regularly or get a takeaway. The food is really tasty not greasy like some, very pleasant staff and you can always get a table. The Sunday buffet is one of the best we've had. Would highly recommend this restaurant nothing is too much trouble.
