A short walk from the town centre, and adjacent to the lovely Christchurch Park, with a small car park and outside seating also available. Warm and friendly welcome from the excellent staff, regular menu and many varied specials changing regularly, offering a variety of dishes from swordfish steaks to nachos and Cajun dishes. Adnams beers and guest ales in a... More

Visiting friends in Ipswich and called in here for lunch. Lovely, rustic feel about it and the staff were very welcoming. Dog-friendly pub and on the whole those dogs present were well-behaved. Food was great and my friend had the local ale which was good. Great place for lunch - especially the Cajun menu. Great as a local.

We had friends visiting from Norfolk so booked the Greyhound, having read the reviews - we were looking for traditional 'pub grub'! On this level, the Greyhound certainly did not disappoint! The menu was really extensive with even more options on the board - there was something to suite every taste! The only downside to our evening was that the... More

This place is great! You probably need a bit more than that.. so go and check the selection of fabulous real ales, kept perfectly, it try the food! The fish and chips are really good but then so is the rest of the menu. If you want to eat on a Saturday evening it's definitely worth booking a table. Simply... More

Whether it's a quick pint you are after or a tasty meal, the Greyhound is one of the best pubs in the Ipswich area. Have eaten their on numerous occasions and each time the menu has been varied and the food great value for money.

We were invited to the Greyhound by some friends who had been recommended the pub because of its good food and real Ale. They had booked a table and good job too because it was really busy with people of all ages. Not just eating but enjoying a Friday night out too. It was at times hard to hear what... More

My partner come in here a lot for dinner and I realised I've never written a review! The woolpack is definitely one of our favourite pubs in Ipswich, the food is always amazing and the staff are wonderful. The chilli cheese burger is a must if you haven't tried it, but the special board is always full of new meals... More
