I've eaten here 4 times now. Twice for dinner and twice for lunch. The first dinner the food was amazing. Inspiring menu. Our party of 4 all ordered different mains and starters and everyone raved about their meal. The second time I ate dinner at the Brewery Tap, I was disappointed with my starter and main course but the rest... More

Had a lazy ladies evening catching up. Such a chilled atmosphere, the food was a good quality, everything is very low key and relaxed.

Really disappointed to be leaving this review as this has been a favourite spot of ours for quite some time, but after our last visit I'm sad to say we won't be returning anytime soon. We visit regularly, at least once or twice a month and a menu favourite is the pork belly. Visited on Sunday evening (even called beforehand... More

I have been coming to the Brewery Tap for many years and have noticed a decline. There has been a change in the lunchtime menu which meant that my usual favourites were no longer available. Today I met several friends and the service was pretty awful. The pub was unable to cope the the number of customers. Food that was... More

Went here by chance having not booked anywhere to eat. Managed to get a table early on a Friday evening, lucky to do so as lots of tables were reserved. Impressed with the menu and the meals we ordered were delicious. Quirky setting, loads of old red brick walls and wood, really liked it. Only downside was that we found... More

This pub is located in a bizarre place, in what seems to be a disused naval dockyard. There's not much around, except perhaps the chicken coop, which does make it easier to park. If you are driving there, don't drive through the centre of Ipswich, but come off the A14 at junction 57. It's not too far to walk from... More

Second Sunday lunch here today and yet again, it lived up to being as good as the first time we went months ago. It is in an odd place, tucked away and you almost expect the worst as you approach but once inside, its old world charm and ambience immediately hits you. The staff are so friendly, you never have... This pub used to be part of the Tolly Cobbold Brewery. The place has a great atmosphere and décor but the hidden gem about this place is the food. It is has a wonderful varying menu which is different every time you visit. The quality is truly outstanding and very good value for money. This has become our default destination for... More

Booked a table for a Saturday evening out and arrived at 8 for drinks, v good range of local beers and helpful barman ensured a good start to the night. Starters were all first class, in particular the seafood and chickpea dish was outstanding. Sadly the main courses arrived one short despite the waitress having double checked our order so... More

Description
This is a lovely Gastro Pub, the new owners took over in October 2009 and have fantastic plans. They only serve locally brewed Bitter and Lager plus a great wine list. Mike is a fantastic chef and the staff are always friendly, smiling and helpful. Lots of space for private parties or meetings. Daily fresh menu with local produce.
