What a meal! I drive past this restaurant most days and look at it every time and after having a craving for a pizza we decided to head on over. The service was amazing and personal, decor was inviting and charming and the food was easily the best pizza I’ve had in the area. We had bruschetta and calamari for starters that was beautifully cooked and words cannot describe how amazing the pizzas were! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough if you want a great Italian food at incredible prices!

We were greeted warmly which is always a good sign. The waiter and waitress were very attentive considering how busy the restaurant was. The food was hot and absolutely delicious, really felt like someone had taken some care over it. Dessert was also very good. Price was reasonable and the atmosphere in the restaurant was lively and busy, but not so noisy you couldn't hear each other. I can't wait to return!

Very pleasant time spent here.
During Covid-19, everything is different and this restaurant has adapted to the circumstances brilliantly. Tables are well spaced and all the staff wear masks
The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and the whole place has a relaxed feel.
The food was excellent. Between the 5 of us, we had to Fillet Steaks, 1 Pizza, 1 Salad, 1 Pasta dish. All were very good, but according to my son, the Pizza was exceptional.
The service was very good. Our waitress was extremely attentive, without being over zealous about it, drinks were refreshed as soon as they started to get low and when Beers/spirits were getting low, asked if we wanted another.

Due to consistently excellent experiences we are regular customers at Pulcinella, we being either myself and my husband, us and my mum or us all, plus my husband's family (making a group of seven).
Last Saturday's experience topped all our previous visits. We were there as a group of seven to celebrate my mum's birthday, and it was her choice to invite us there as she always enjoys it there. Despite me not mentioning the celebration when I made the reservation online, the team must have picked-up on it being for a celebration when gifts were handed by other members of the family to my mum.
When it came to ordering dessert my mum's tiramisu was brought to the table by the owner with a candle, he then got the whole restaurant to sing happy birthday to her! It was an incredible atmosphere and one that got my mum emotional, she was almost crying with happiness! Not many restaurants can do that!
The food, once again, was superb. My husband enjoys the Pulcinella Pizza as his regular item there, however I like to try out new and different things across the wide-ranging menu. The Birra Moretti beer is an excellent one to enjoy the food with. I can't say I've ever not enjoyed my meal there, and I reckon we've got to have been there close to ten times since the pandemic!
This is for us by far the best restaurant we know. The food is good, the waiting staff and owner are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere there is amazing. If going on a Friday or Saturday night it's advisable to book a table in advance, it fills up - but assuming the service we receive is replicated to all their customers it's clear to see why!

Wow! Just picked up a takeaway from here and we were not disappointed. Easily the best local freshly made pizza and a calzone that is legendary. The fact that you support a local business and not a bland fast food chain made it all that much better. Thank you.

I visited this restaurant on a Monday night when several other local places were closed. It was busy including a party of Italians which was a great sign! Simple rustic decor, very welcoming staff and an overall pleasant vibe. I had a wonderful pizza and beer for a very reasonable price. Recommend

Excellent food and service and seemingly very popular as on my first visit they kindly squeezed me in for a one hour sitting as they were fully booked but there was time before one of the tables got taken. Second visit mid week I managed to book ahead. There was nothing to complain about with the food - I had pasta dishes both times with a pinot grigio wine and a tirimisu desert when I had booked.

Just returned from a last minute weekend in Poole where we decided to visit Pulcinella, and we are so very pleased we did! The restaurant is cosy and rustic with delightful fresh, and tasty food offerings ( we all went for seafood dishes which were delicious!) Mostly I cannot praise the staff highly enough. Customer service is something I rate with much importance, and Salvo met my expectations and more with his welcoming and friendly manner. We all commented how for a couple of hours we felt we were in Italy- like a home from home! Thank you so much Pulcinella for making our short visit to Poole so special :). We will be sure to come back and sample the rest of the menu soon.

6th visit. As always exquisite food but have to say very poor quality Pino Grigio that was as yellow as urine and low quality for £27 and Vongole portion was too small for £18 and mixed prawn and Salmon main course overpriced for the product. Pizzas are best in Poole but they have to work on their value for money this time round.

Fantastic place for great quality authentic Italian food.
We came across this place looking around the local area. Tried it and liked it so much we came back again during our week long stay in Poole.
Both myself and my wife tried the pizza’s and also different pasta dishes during our stay. Our meals were exceptional, arguably the best pizza we’ve had in a long time and perfect pasta dishes. I had seafood linguine and my vegetarian wife Arrabbiata pasta. Pasta cooked perfectly and great portion sizes.
Deserts of tiramisu and profiteroles’s were really light and delicious.
Second time we visited, the place was full with two large tables celebrating birthdays. They have 2 chefs and 2 front of house. They were stacked and handled the influx of customers really well. Our table was just in view of the chefs, really interesting to see how they use the large brick pizza oven for cooking various dishes along with the excellent pizzas.
Very attentive, great food and service.
My only negative is the price of the beer. Expensive for small bottles of beer, equivalent to £9 per pint. Draft beer would be a much better option or at least larger bottles to give better value.
This will definitely be a place to return to on our next trip to Poole.

I have ordered from here 3 times, the first time I had the best carbonara I’ve had, sadly, the next time I ordered the delivery driver had spilt our order in the bag, he claimed he would go back to the restaurant to collect a new order but never returned. The restaurant were unhelpful to say the least. I ordered again this evening, more fool me, as my order never arrived, I wouldn’t be surprised if it were the same delivery driver not wanting to show his face again. I appreciate this isn’t the restaurants fault but safe to say I shan’t be ordering from here again.

Really sorry to hear about this experience, We really appreciate your frustration unfortunately it is out if our control and it's nothing the restaurant can do about it
If you order from any platform then you automatically are their customer and they treat you as such. You pay through their platform (just eat, deliveroo) not through the restaurant. The moment we receive an order from JUST EAT or Deliveroo we have to bound by their rules they have their drivers they control the time. We only prepare the order to the specifications. The drivers don't work for us and we don't even know who they are, so whatever the driver told you unfortunately it's not true. I know it's difficult but you should have contacted JUST EAT and ask them for a refund ."THE RESTAURANT CANNOT HELP YOU IN THIS SITUATION "
As you are deemed as a just eat customer .
If you truly want to have good food then you should collect it yourself from any restaurant not just us .
Otherwise you would be in the unfortunate waiting game.
Again i am really and truly sorry about your experience and we as an establishment try our best to provide excellent service and provide good food using locally sourced fresh ingredients and i can promise you will not be disappointed if you tryed a dine in experience or collect a takeaway yourself.

I don't know if there's a new /different chef on duty but it is the first time I have been disappointed with a meal from here. All 3 dishes were inedible. The prawn cocktail used very obviously frozen prawns which were chewy, made the dish watery and were flavourless. The bruschetta was incredibly disappointing and covered in dry oregano instead of the fresh basil advertised, had one very small sliver of onion, soggy bread and past their best mushy tomatoes. The calamari was limp, soggy and on a bed of soggy, wilted hot lettuce. Very disappointed.

First visit here , sent e.mail booking , but none recieved ,did get a table .6-15 on Sat eve. Nice place/ atmosphere ,very nice staff , Little bit cramped though.
We both had chicken , 1 with Doleselate & one with French mustard / brandy, We both thought being honest the chicken wasn't brilliant , the doleselate sauce was better than the the other , mine just tasted of very strong garlic , & repeated on me for the rest of the evening.
Nice bottle of Montepechano , the only thing i wasnt 100% happy about was a service charge ( for one course ! ) I had that taken off .
Would go again, but not in a hurry.

Been here a couple of times. Staff are great as is the service. Food is generally very good, though some of the pizzas are a bit heavy on the mozzarella and not enough tomato sauce for my liking. Not the cheapest but has a very good atmosphere and ambience. Usually very busy so may need to book.
