We came yesterday the 3th July and enjoyed our visit. Service was prompt and polite.Food was delicious my little grand-daughter is a very fussy eater but ate everything on her plate (so please never take sausage mash and gravy off of the menu) Also everyone else enjoyed their meals. Clean plates - says it all. Thank you

Hi Sue, We would like to thank you for this lovely review. We introduced a delicious new summer menu on Wednesday with loads of wonderful new dishes for the adults and well as retaining the old favorites. You can rest assured however that the children's menu still has sausage, mash and gravy for your grand daughter, its important to keep... More

Great British pub with a good selection of food. It was quiet when we were there and the service was efficient, friendly and helpful. No problem with food or drinks. Would recommend to others.

A typical pub doing Sunday lunches and with an extended menu. It is fine if you are looking for a heart attack with many meals having double fat content such as bacon and cheese or a deep fried onion bhaji as well that literally leaked fat as you cut it. OK, we all want to indulge now and then but... More

We had booked, following a recommendation by a friend. We arrived on time but had to wait at the bar, as our table wasn't ready. After ordering drinks at the bar, we were taken to our table. We ordered our meals, the pub was by no means busy, yet we waited 50 minutes to get our dinner. Quite frankly, when... More

On our way back from Poole, we needed lunch, but were unfamiliar with the area. We spotted this place which looked lovely from the outside, very 'country pub'. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly. Lovely atmosphere, not rushed or noisy and we'll maintained. We were pleasantly surprised, not only by how reasonable the prices were, but also the... More
