Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We chanced upon this lovely little cafe, just off the quay and are so glad to have done so. A warm welcome followed by the biggest bacon baps we have ever had - too large for us to finish. Beautiful fresh baps with more than...ample filling and delicious coffee. Excellent value for money. We will be back. Oh, and it was spotlessly clean too.More

What a fantastic welcome we received on walking in to this immaculate cafe. I was asked very politely to take a table with the most space around it as this would have the most space for my little puppy to move around. The gentleman brought...me a mug of steaming hot tea in the blink of an eye. It's a lovely relaxing place to sit and watch people strolling past enjoying the all the yacht activities. We had scrambled egg on toast. Lots of attractive places to explore in the surrounding area.More

We chanced on this lovely cafe quite by accident , a family of 5. We arrived early at the beginning of an important family day hoping for a breakfast and cuppa to set us up for our day. The breakfast for each of us was...outstanding. The staff that served us could not do anymore for us going to great lengths to accommodate us with a friendly welcome and assistance. The café was beautiful it was the best start to a memorable day and we would definitely come back if ever back in Poole .More

Only a small cafe by the quay but what a fabulous breakfast! And with the addition of their amazing (secret recipe) bubble & squeak, it was absolutely perfect! They even support the RNLI and are dog friendly. We will definitely be back.

The fisherman’s cafe is AMAZING! To tell the truth… I wanted a Greggs for breakfast but my other half recommended this place as we were stood in the Greggs queue and I’m so glad we left and came here instead!! The service was 10/10, as...soon as we came through the door we were greeted by a lovely man who looked after us very well throughout the whole time we were there. I was very hungry so I added extras to my breakfast and I ate all of it. The food was so tasty and you can definitely tell it’s made from the heart!! We will definitely be coming back, thank you for the warm hospitality 💗More

Visited Poole for the day and happened to find this little gem. We only had the 'tiddler' breakfast but it was really good and perfect for our appetite. The mug of tea was perfect. The place was clean and warm and the owner (?) was...very welcoming. Nice bit of banter with locals. Will definitely return.More

The best treasure to stumble upon! After a lovely first nights stay, we’re glad we opted out of breakfast at the hotel! Although we almost regretted the fact when we slept in and tried two other places but were too late! We struck gold here!...Dog friendly was the first big tick, followed swiftly by the super friendly Mike! We were cutting it fine to say the least and the cafe was shortly due to close! No problem for the host who quickly accommodated us and our pooch! A HUGE breakfast greeted my other half, piping hot, superb quality butchers sausages and ALL the breakfast trimmings. I never eat fry up, but opted for the tiddler (small option) and I’m glad I did! There isn’t possibly a way to fault this traditional family run, quaint little gem nestled away in a beautiful spot. Blink and you’d miss it, so make sure you keep your eyes open! Superb coffee, reasonably priced by a long shot, charming and charismatic staff and clean as a whistle! Dont get sucked in to a Wetherspoon breakfast! Keeping local and you will not be disappointed! Loved all the seaside touches of decor and the lifeboat charity jam jars are an added touch of what this place is all about! Local, family friendly, look after your own traditional independent loveliness! Keep up the super work guys, thanks for staying open and accommodating us and thank you for my gravy bone from Oreo!More

Saturday 24th at The Fisherman’s Cafe. Breakfast is exceptionally good. Wonderfully hot from start to finish. Service was brilliant as was the ‘proper’ mug of tea. Always busy so if you want to try this Cafe on Poole Quay, get there fairly early. They deserve...the 5 stars given.More
