Visit last week for a lunchtime drink and sandwich, since it was advertised that it had re-opened was keen to see if it was going to be as good as advertised. Well wasn't sure when we walked in that it was actually opened - it...More

Ok so it dont pretend to be a posh restaurant but a steakhouse and wowzers what a piece of meat you get. Enjoyed the home made soup for starters then the 10oz fillet with trimmings just could not quite fit in the extras. Not the...More

We were also tempted to see what's The Star had to offer after its takeover First impressions were very poor. The stencilling/writing of the walls made it look cheap and down market, reminding me of town city "Wethersoon type " pubs offering plastic microwaveable food...More

Thank you for your review. The Real Steakhouse & Grill is now open at The Star Brasserie in Sandal. We opened our doors less than 2 weeks ago. When we opened we decided to do a 'soft' opening. This is because we have a brand...More

Booked a table to celebrate friends engagement. Disappointed with poor menu choice and menu presentation. (A4 encapsulated sheet).Bit more choice on blackboard. Main course cooked well and well presented. Sticky toffee pudding was on the heavy, leathery side. Overall, disappointed and food and drink overpriced.

Lovely dinner at the Star pub. Good quality food and great, friendly service. Not the most extensive menu but everything really tasty and good quality.
