This is the only place I know that could stay open and still deliver a fabulous night despite having no electricity which meant only emergency lighting (which eventually failed)... no electric pumps working, no tills... no sound deck or microphones, but you still did it...More

The best bar in Wakefield, great staff, great atmosphere, delicious pizza menu. Weekly open mic, live lounge and Sunday Sesh attracting the best in local talent.

I always enjoy coming to black horse, love the deco and atmosphere. Bar staff always friendly and clean toliets. It's also lovely in the summer time in outside area. Enjoyed a few drinks with my work colleagues for pre Xmas celebrations last night.

Only called in for one but enjoyed it and stayed a while. The beer was good and the atmosphere also. Landlord is young but knows his stuff

This is truly the most amazing place to be on a Sunday! Lovely staff... Great music.... really brilliant friendly customers..... and a free supper!! What more could you want? I love the Sunday Sesh!! Try it..... bet you won't be anywhere else in future!
