We visited this bistro to celebrate a birthday. Overall our experience was very good and the food delicious. I had the ox cheek dish which was tender and tasty. However my husband could not eat the parsnips in his dish as they were hard and...burnt, having been cut too thin and overcooked. He did complain that they were inedible, but had no feed back. Would recommend this restaurant, but don't order parsnips!More

Myself and my beloved decided to go here for her birthday and we're very glad we did. We had a starter and main meal, we were too full for dessert They had lager and cider on draught at very reasonable prices for a restaurant.I had...the ham hock starter which was delicious followed by a sirloin steak medium rare which was cooked to perfection.My wife had the slow cooked chicken as her main.No real complaints but she found the mashed potato a little salty.Apart from that it was a very enjoyable experience.The staff were very efficient and friendly.We look forward to seeing them again,soon.More

Our first time visit and certainly not our last! This amazing little bistro is tucked away just off the centre of town with great vibe and excellent friendly team. After a warm welcome and drinks the menu changes every month or so and was varied...for every taste. We were incredibly impressed by the quality of cooking with fresh locally sourced ingredients. This chef is extremely talented and we couldn’t fault a thing. The pulled pork bao bun took me back to travel’s in Hong Kong and my mini burger starter was sublime. Then lamb and a superb ox cheek tagine - beautiful and a to die for creme brulee to share. We’ll definitely be back again and again!More

Good food but problems with stock. This was an interesting and varied menu with some unusual dishes. We booked for a meal at 6.30pm and already only one portion of Haddock the fish dish was available. A lot of dishes came with strong spices. My...Nut roast was very good and there were 2 vegetarian dishes available. All the food cooked to order which we like but you must be prepared to wait. The wait is worth it. The main disadvantage is the Dingy centre part of the restaurant and the toilet needs an upgrade.More

The best meal I've had in a very long time. Atmosphere was good, staff very efficient and friendly, two nut and gluten people catered for perfectly with handwritten reminders of what to avoid or swap waiting for us when we arrived.
