Lovely quirky pub, very friendly staff, they couldn't do enough for you. Pieminister pies are what drew us there, very good choice

Had a roast here and it was out of this world, very generous sizing and not expensive at all. Local ales were fantastic and lovely staff. Easily my favourite pub in Taunton.

Every time I go to the plough for a social with my friends it is outstanding! The on tap beers are excellent. Drinks from my two favourite breweries are served there, being Otter, and Quantock. The staff are very helpful and and good fun. Especially...Jay and James. Those two have great banter and manage to uphold the coronavirus regulations without taking away from the good old feel of a British pub. 10/10. As soon as this temporary lockdown is over, The Plough is the first pub I'll be visiting for a game of cards and a catch up with my mates.More

Best pub for real cider and very cosy . Has dealt with the social distancing measures very well for such a small venue and is definitely the best pub that end of town

Fantastic atmosphere, welcoming manager and staff. Fantastic food and wine! I’m a fussy veggie so phoned ahead and they talked me through the menu options.

Popped into the plough for Sunday lunch and it was amazing, freshly cooked nice crispy roast potatoes and a yorkshire pudding to die for well worth a visit

I popped into this absolute gem of a pub last weekend, a very warm welcome from the new manager, who was charming and knowledgeable. Huge selection of 20+ ciders, so there is something there for every cider lover, along with a well stocked bar of...various other drinks!! They have a great selection of pies, which come with homemade mash, gravy and peas, again there’s something there for everyone, from meat lovers through to veggie and vegan. The Moo and blue delish, beef and Stilton! From chatting to the new manager, they have new addition to Sundays, with a Sunday roast! With a selection of several meats and also veggie options! Best of luck to James and the Team! A massive turn around so far!More

The thought of a pub is lost on London travellers and critic wannabes. This place is an awesome gem. Simplistic charm and craft gems. Topped up with great service and charisma. Wish this was my local 👌👌👌

I normally only ever write positive reviews. This is the first time I've ever written a negative review. I previously gave this pub a 5 star review but after tonight I'm never ever going back again. I went with my daughter tonight for a nice...family meal. I tried to order but the first three things I tried to order they didn't have. The pub was quiet with hardly any customers. We waited for over an hour and our food still hadn't arrived. I asked at the bar and was told it would be ten more minutes. After 10 minutes it still hadn't arrived. I went and asked again only to be told that they'd mucked up the order and we'd have to wait another 10 minutes or have a refund. As we'd already been waiting 85 minutes we decided to wait the extra 10 minutes. I've never in my whole life had such terrible service. I will never visit this pub again which is a shame as until now I had nothing but praise for it.More
