We held our daughter, fay, wedding breakfast here and it couldn't have been more perfect. Cedric and his team were more than helpful in every detail making it the most perfect afternoon and evening. Every guest commented on the excellent food, intermate atmosphere and on...how Cedric and his team effortlessly ran the day. Thankyou so much for everything you did. We will definately be coming back.More
The team at Augustus deliver time and time again. The food is simply cooked but of the highest quality. The service is always friendly and prompt. Personally I find the prices amazing value for money. I just wish it was not a 160 mile drive.
The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. I could not fault the food and would highly recommend the mackerel starter and the venison main course. The wine list was varied and reasonably priced.
My boss had been telling me for months to go but obviously with covid things were difficult...... eventually we got childcare and time to go and we weren't disappointed......superb service, food and environment....could not fault anything!
Great little unscheduled stop for lunch. We had time pressures due to another engagement but front of house we’re very accommodating in finding a table for us. The menu and specials board were offered and we were able to pick and choose from either and...the table staff provided two plates for us to share a main between us. I must mention some of the dishes in particular: Seared scallops with a parsley and garlic purée, the devilled duck livers and finally the cheese board, this came arrived at table complete with an extremely knowledgable spoken tour of each of the possible selections. Service is friendly and attentive but not obtrusive. The resturant is located in a quaint little courtyard so if the sun is out I recommend sitting in the glass room on the front of the restaurant. In summary; a must visit if you’re in Taunton.More
Everything about this attractive restaurant was brilliant. The service is friendly without being intrusive, the atmosphere is relaxed, the food faultless. A perfect cheese souffle followed by mullet with a delicate mussle sauce were as good as in a fine French restaurant. Portions are generous....The wine list is full of interesting wines which are not highly marked up. Altogether a joyous experience.More
Exquisite attention paid to all details of meal and service was skilled, attentive and pleasing.
Since I'm required to add more words by the reviewing system I'll just add that I wish I could dine here every day!

Sorry I don’t know about the bass, and I don’t think they close at 21.30. Parking has been more difficult for the past couple of years, however there is still limited parking opposite, and street parking slightly further... More

Sorry I've taken so long to answer, they had a specials board
Main menu was excellent too quite a variety of dishes & any special requirements didn't seem to be any trouble. I'm sure you'll love whatever you choose 😊
