My favourite. I have visited it many times and the atmosphere compares well with Nero in Cardiff, Newport, Yeovil and Oxford. Sometimes it is crowded with long queues so I go away and come back another time. Great building and decoration.

My now regular lunch haunt having porridge and jam. (Weight watching before you ask) Always happy staff makes such a difference and the inside of the historic. Holding is uplifting too. Take the stairs and sit overlooking the main cafe and drink in the hundreds of years of history, gossip and politics that must have filled the vaulted room. Only... More

You'd think that a chain like Nero's would be pretty consistent, honest and reliable but I must be mistaken. Being Christmas, my brother and I both ordered one of their special coffee/chocolate drinks. Wanting to chat, we ordered both to be large size, with a muffin on the side. We were busy catching up when we ordered, paid and went... More

Visited there recently and had to wait what seemed like forever for a coffee. Unlike the majority of cafe Nero's the staff were dull and disinterested. The tables were dirty and took ages to be cleared. Such a shame as this is way below what is most Nero's excellent service. The staff should go to Barnstaple to see how it... More

Welcome to Neros. The dirty cluttered tables are waiting to great you. The do get cleared eventually if you ask them to. But there unlikely to wipe them clean of the sticky marks. Oh bliss !😬😬😬

Right at centre of Taunton - behind the corn market building. The building is one of very few wooden frame structures remaining in Taunton

The coffee here, even in decaf form, is always good & despite trying all the other coffee shops, still return to this one! It also has a small seating area outside the front of the building & inside there are lids of "areas" you can choose to sit in

Regular visitors but appalled on our most recent visit - service poor, tables all cluttered with dirty crockery and the toilets were filthy. Will be taking custom elsewhere until Caffe Nero clean up their act.
