Pleasantly surprised by a late Sunday lunch here, having avoided it for many years. Not sure if it has changed hands? Everything was well prepared / cooked and extremely tasty. Turkey had run out so we both had roast beef, and ordered pigs in blankets...and extra roast potatoes - these were delicious and soft inside. Veg was broccoli, carrots and red cabbage, agsin all really tasty. Will definitely go back. Pleasant staff tooMore

Always enjoy a drink and food in this place. One of my favourites in the area. I'll be going back there for sure. Welcoming and nice atmosphere.

Visited recently. Hand sanitizer used on arrival at Entrance. Took to the reserved table but a person was sitting at it using their phone on the table. They moved when asked by a member of staff. That was okay but the table wasn't sanitized afterwards...so I had to do it myself. It's pointless cleaning the tables when empty but not after someone has sat at it, isn't it? The staff are obviously trying but the patrons don't seem to give it much thought as I saw people meeting up and sitting together without masks who obviously didn't live together and people drinking and greeting others who'd come in and mixed without masks. No one went to the toilets and wore their masks. We won't be coming back as I didn't feel as safe as we thought we ought to feel. I know it's difficult but people just have to be very careful. Not make a half hearted attempt at it. menu very limited but understandable.More

Really impressed when visiting here for lunch at the weekend. We were greeted at the door, advised on precautions and changes in place. Offered hand sanitizer on entry. Disposable, recyclable menus. Friendly staff. Nice food, is just cheap pub food, but service was quick, food...was hot and the pub is nice inside. We will definitely be back.More

Marstons seem to be doing a better job than last owners any way. Really enjoyed our evening. Place is very warm and welcoming and remarkably busy for a Monday evening

I was enjoying this high end, fine dining establishment's food up until the woman sitting on the table behind let out the most disgusting of farts. Me and the people I was eating with were immediately put off our meals. I asked for air freshener...but I was denied. We had to leave, the pungent eggy aroma was far too much. It ruined our weekend.More
