Haven't been for a few years, but came back to eat whilst staying in hotel - great menu, interesting and tasty food with people ordering different things all having envy of other people's plates! Good wine list and attentive staff - no where else worth eating in the area - would highly recommend!

We visited The Bridge Restaurant to try out the pre-wedding taster menu we had selected. The service was top notch and the staff members were so friendly. Clearly we would not have had the normal menu but the food we did have was lovely. They made you feel very welcome and were very attentive. Worth a visit I assure you!

We did not want 'fine dining' which was available but instead chose the 'proper' menu, and we were not disappointed, The food was excellent, nice and hot and VERY tasty. Service was excellent.

My wife and I thought we'd try our newly acquired Taste Card in the Bridge restaurant at this rather splendid moated hotel. The card which we'd recently received as subscribers to The Times gets you two meals for the price of one at certain specified restaurants. We chose the three course meal for £39 a head and had a bottle... More

Sunday lunch at £30 per head, plus drinks and service. Limited choice of all three courses. Starter - duck terrine 😃(more like pulled duck, generous portion and great flavour - but no toast / bread offered. Main - beef, chicken or cod. Went for beef - ok and well cooked. Carrots good, beans ok, roast spuds not crisp enough. Dessert... More

Ate here during a weekend break and waited ages for uninteresting food to be served. Must have been at least an hour between courses. Maitre admitted they couldn't cope as a wedding was on. He then asked us to pay in cash rather than by card or put on our room. Sums up the whole experience really - pretty dreadful.

Beautiful, well presented food that tasted delicious. Starters - mushroom risotto, black pudding, mains - duck and pork Desserts - lemon tart and black currant cheesecake all were amazing. The waitress was lovely and photographer of the evening :)

I recently had the privilege to eat at this restaurant on an evening out with my daughter. On entering we were greeted by the friendly staff on reception. We were seated in this lovely restaurant and we're served amazing food from the lovely starter, main and rounded off with the stunning desert. Lovely atmosphere, very attentive staff throughout the evening.... More
