This was a pleasurable visit to somewhere local to me. Welcomed by Tyler at the bar, the evening went without a hitch. The menus have significantly improved - a nice selection of winter warmer type dishes perfect for an up-market gastro-pub which I now think this is. The Exeter has struggled in the past to know what sort of place... More

Delicious meal and great service. Fabulous evening out. White bait for starter steak for main and cheese and biscuits for a perfect end. Top class.

I've passed this restaurant for the past 30 years and never once ventured in, until a friend of mine recommended the Exeter Arms. I visited with a new customer to my business last night, not knowing what to expect and I have to say it was tremendous. Great food, wonderful service, and a warm friendly welcome. You won't be disappointed,... More

I was staying at the Exeter arms whilst working away. It's a lovely old country pub with a cozy feel to it. I had fish and chips £13.50 and a bottle of coke. The fish and chips was very nice and came with thick home cooked chips with it and some thick bread. I also had the breakfast here which... More

We were traveling from Scotland and wanted a pub lunch just off the A1. This pub is excellent. The food was great, a real gastro experience ! The service and decor were exceptional too. Highly recommend.

I only frequent this establishment a couple of times per year, however I have always enjoyed my dining experiences. This inn has an "olde worlde" atmosphere, with friendly and courteous staff.

We had been to the food fair on the meadow and went to the Exeter for lunch. We were not disappointed.

I visited here with my family. Grandparents, grandchildren etc. The service was great and friendly. I had high hopes that the food would also be of the same standard but we were disappointed. We ordered the Sunday Roast which came out Luke warm but edible. 2 of us ordered beef, this was very tough and fatty and no steak knives... More
