The pub it's self is busy recently compared to recent years gone by especially since the toilets were refurbished, I. Have been in a lot more towards the backend of last season and the beginning of this season, I cannot comment on the food as I have never eaten here, but there is one big problem here, which is the... Well where do i start? Walked in to a pub/hotel/resterauant that makes a tired looking place look up market. Kids allowed to climb over the furniture, including tables! Kids screaming & running riot. Dogs allowed in the resteraunt. Sat down & looked at the menu. As you do when you want food. Only to find upon ordering food, that around... More

The first person who served us the food and drinks was happy the next person who served us drinks was the grumpiest person I've met for a long time. Our food.........(when it finally arrived after 50 mins this is in April not the peak season) was very nice it didn't look the most appetising but it was well cooked and... More

Visited for a meal with family on 2/10/16 and ordered meals for 4. The barmaid could not have been more miserable and after pouring the drinks instead of placing them next to where I stood place them on the other side of the pumps and said your drinks are over here! Also we had to wait 45 minutes for the... More

We called in here for the Sunday lunch carvery. The food was reasonable and there was plenty of it, but it was a little on the cold side. They need to sort out the counter because flies were buzzing around the food. The old lady that served the meat at the carvery didn't seem to mind at all, but then... More

Went here for the carvery and it was barely warm. If you like cold food then go here. The staff don't know how to smile and everyone looked miserable. I would definitely NOT recommend this place.

Food was average price for very boring food. Some came dry and overcooked. No one told us where to get sauces etc and food was served then... More

The Anchor has two sides one for adults and one for kids, I found the entertainment in the adult side was very good with different acts. We're as the kids side was just a disco, food ok, bar ok, needs at least a paint job, inside
