Been going in most Fridays now for a few weeks. The bar has a small dog friendly area so pop in after a walk. Four of us went in tonight settled down at a spare table in the dog friendly area and I went to...buy some drinks told at bar table booked. No sign on table or anything. Only other table was a two seater. Rest of bar pretty much empty but not dog friendly no offer of a couple more chairs for the other table just that we could not sit in the reserved table . Had to leave. Customer servive non existant just kept telling me booked. Wont be bothering again. This is how you dont get regulars in your pub.More

The male owner was working front of house and immediately from entering he made me feel unwelcome. He initially tried to put me off ordering food as there would be 12 orders before mine but if I really wanted to order then I still could...but there will be a wait... My partner still wanted to eat there as so many of his friends and relatives had recommended their food. I made him get back up to order, not even 20 minutes later we were all sat eating…. Whilst eating, plates still full, he walked over to get the sweeping brush and began to sweep food from the floor around me and right under my feet. I asked him to wait as my daughter(1yr) had not yet finished eating. He replied no because the peas would get trod into the floor… I could understand if he was sweeping up anyway but he went out of his way to get the brush just to sweep under me and then put it back away. I am disappointed with my experience there and will not be a returning customer. We were made to feel as though me and my family were not adequate enough to be dining their. Such a shame, the woman who brought the food out was so lovely.More

I simply wanted a couple of drinks. Owner told me to sit and wait, then he took ages serving a group and discussing his ailment. When he eventually finished, he served two people that had just walked in. Totally forgot about me patiently waiting. I...think he's the manager too. Embarrassing experience. Never again.More

We had a lovely meal at this picturesque pub. I had the home made Lasagne which was excellent, but my husband couldn't stop raving about his fantastic steak! Quality meals and drinks, pleasant, friendly service and very good value. Definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic food, great service, not spoilt by too loud background music. In short, a lovely meal (and gin!)
