Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I just went here with my husband and our two small children for the first time today for Sunday lunch spending £75 and while the food was fine it was after our meal when we tried to take our children out to see the animals...that the trip soured. We couldn’t find how to get to the back of the restaurant to see the animals and so when we found a gap between the buildings we figured that was the way. My family had walked though with me behind only for a ginger man dressed in a white kitchen assistant outfit to come out and start shouting at me that that was for the kitchen and I was to come back and use the main entrance (he did not explain where this main entrance was). I called my husband and children back and this guy shouted at us the whole time until we left. We couldn’t believe it, we have never had such aggressive nasty behaviour from a venue we have just spend money in before. Needless to say we will NEVER be back and as a local I will be telling everyone about my experience to save them from the same. In case the venue claims this is not a genuine review, I have attached a photo of our receipt.More

Great menu now, lots of good things to choose from. Staff excellent, friendly and attentive. Always a good place to meet friends, and buy at the farm shop (especially the sausages).

We stopped of here for lunch with 3 adults, 2 dogs and a 18month old! We were lucky enough to visit on a sunny day so we sat outside. My little one was able to run around looking at the donkey and goats on the...grass throwing his ball! The food was wonderful we had 2 sausage sandwiches which came with chips and a steak sandwich which also came with chips. Lots of food!!! The staff were welcoming, friendly and we had great service. We didn’t have time for the farm trail but we will absolutely be back. Gutted we only found this little gem at the end of the summer! Also looked amazing for coffee and cake but we didn’t have time to sample this.More

First visit to this place and can't believe we have not found it before! Beautiful setting overlooking Dedham Vale, lovely outside space and great coffee. The staff were very attentive and helpful and they let me veganise the veggie breakfast AND gave me spread not...butter (a frequent oversight by many places when ordering vegan food) food came promptly and was delicious!More

Popped into Hall farm and on my way to visit my brother who lives just round the corner. We usually just go in the farm shop which is excellent but decided to have a cup of coffee as we were early. Were told we couldn’t...sit inside as it was fully booked, but could sit outside Got ourselves a table and noticed two or three of the tables waiting to be served. We waited 10 minutes and no one came to take an order from us or the other tables So we decided to leave we will always visit the farm shop but give the café a missMore

Staff. Friendly and professional. Food. Home cooked and scrummy. Ambience. Excellent rural views. I have been several times. Always very good. Open 9am to 5pm. Usually. If you want lunch, then book a table. Menu not huge.

With a travelling up to the Suffolk coast or returning back down to Surrey, hall, farm café is the perfect place to stop for a bite to eat, and to recharge the batteries. It is always rammed full and the biggest problem about going to...the place, it’s trying to find somewhere to park on arrival. However, once in and settled at a table the staff are lovely and polite, very friendly and everything that we have ever eaten. There has been spot-on. My only issue with the place is that so many other people know about it!More

Used to be really good. However the food quality isn’t the same and it went from free for the farm to increasing and now £3.50. I know it’s not a lot but I used to go with the family then a wander round the farm...now it’s creeping up in price but the food and quality of the farm hasn’t increased. If they did entry at £2.50 that would be better.More

We found this place by accident on the map on our way to Woodbridge & thought we would try it for lunch. The staff were very welcoming & pleasant & the food was amazing! The fish finger sandwich was very delicious indeed! My husband had...the Chicken Burger & said that was very good too! As the food was soooo nice, we decided to go back for breakfast on way home on the Monday. The food was just as good! Would highly recommend and we will return if in the area again!More

We had a nice lunch in the cafe and went for a wander around the farm trail. The last time we did so it was a free experience but it cost £24 for me and my sisters families today. I understand that it costs money...to maintain, but having spent a significant amount of money in their cafe, it would be nice to have had this taken into account for the trail, so we were a little disappointed.More
