Brilliant Italian, would highly recommend. Reasonable prices and great food. Tiramisu was delicious and huge. Don’t stop doing what you do.

Waiter spent the first two minutes complimenting my wife on her appearance. Was so unbelievably rude and awkward. She even said she was worried to go to the toilet in case he was on the way. We sat there for five minutes stunned into disbelief....This was not Italian charm, it was downright weird. He was lucky to escape without getting chinned.More

Fabulous little Italian - consistently good food and attentive service! We’ve been coming here for years and nothing is a problem for the team. Lovely array of dishes and always a specials board. I note with dismay the poor review It had recently that appeared...to be about other diners rather than the food, service and quality. This was a shame as it didn’t reflect the restaurant but merely the loud table next door. As they always say…. Eat where the locals eat!More

The evening was ruined by a large very noisy group in the restaurant who apparently had been in there since lunch time. Far from it being a family restaurant it felt more like being in the middle of a drunken brawl, a very unpleasant experience....The staff were apologetic but seemed power less to do anything. Ruined the evening and we will not be visiting again.More

We dropped on this sublime restaurant by chance and oh aren’t we glad that we did! The stylish decor gave the restaurant a real italian feel. Extremely varied menu, tasty food and excellent, prompt service from Alex our waiter! (Who recommended his favourite bacon dish.)...Unfortunately we live three hours away but would definitely call in again if we were ever in Carlisle again.More

Really enjoyed a family meal there. Lots to choose from. Staff very pleasant and service courteous and prompt. Food choice was extensive and all was served hot and promptly. The vegetarian risotto was delicious.

As the great Pavarotti once said “We must devote our attention to eating” but unfortunately at this restaurant you learn extremely quickly, that you want to devote your attention to the exit. The food has got to be the most bland, boring and underwhelming food...that I regretfully had the displeasure to eat. Seriously, Carbonara was just some 30p pasta with sauce (that tasted from a jar) stirred through it with about 5 crumbs of bacon plonked on the top - BON APETIT! - I was charged nearly £9 for it! This nightmare must of cost 50p to conjure up and it tasted of literally nothing! I could of made a much better carbonara myself. Perfect for the bin! Amid the collective groans and sour gulps, my friends weren’t enjoying their meals either. A montage of miserable food, moody teenage waitresses and an owner with an attitude problem, add to the air of melancholy surrounding the dated restaurant and two slithers of “lobster” that looked and tasted like two rubber insoles. Yuck! Furthermore, supposedly (they didn’t work) battery-powered lanterns are randomly scattered on the table to provide a feeling of mishap and glum to your already unexciting and mundane experience. I doubt I’ll ever go back. They need to seriously up their game.More

Family meal upstairs in a busy restaurant, with service capacity being stretched. The staff were friendly & efficient. The minestrone soup was clearly home made & unusual. Although no obvious tomato reasonably tasty. Main courses of pizza & risotto with various meats. The apple pie...& custard / ice cream was good. All in all an enjoyable experienceMore
