One of the best restaurants to provide Carribbean food in the UK.

I have been eating Caribbean food at Jemz for the past 4 years and want to recognise the quality cuisine provided by this Caribbean restaurant which is mainly influenced by the Jamaican culture. The food might seem pricey but the portions sizes match the price. Best of all the service is exceptional, professional and always with a smile. My favourite by far is fried chicken with rice and peas. They have the best fried dumplins in the country. Definitely worth a visit.

Why going elsewhere? Jemz is the best, portions are amazing, the curry, fried chicken, and jerk are the best! Their fish is so tasty and the fritters and side dishes are to die for. We have been coming here for years and despite trying other Caribbean restaurants locally once, Jemz wins hands down every time. Thank you Jemz, keep up the good work.

Amazing goat curry...

Amazing goat curry, so tasty and tender. Personally I prefer it a little more moist but when it packs flavour like that, who am I to argue. Rice and peas cooked just right and the Achee and salt fish just as delicious. Lovely place, great food and fab staff!

A nice welcome

to me, a good meal is obviously around the food, but if the welcome and the atmosphere is nice then you enjoy the experience even more. My wife and I popped into this little gem and enjoyed the experience. The owner spoke and explained the menu, the food and service was good and I enjoyed it. Nice background music and a nice cafe/restaurant feel. Good luck.

Great Caribbean food

I ordered food for a small gathering and I always knew it was going to be great. The curry goat curry was so tasty and tender. I loved the rice and peas as well. My favourite would be the ackee and salt fish which was delicious. I love the fact that I can get some home cooked Caribbean food locally. The staff were great as well. I only wish it was easier to park close by. Thank you Jemz!

Absolutely delicious, lovely staff

We came for lunch on recommendation and we were not disappointed, The food was absolutely delicious, all the traditional favourites, authentic and home made. the Mac and cheese and the jerk chicken are to die for. Generous portions and good value for money. Will definitely visit again.

Unfortunately, I was left disappointed

I’ve been meaning to visit this establishment for a while and finally was able to do so. However, I was left somewhat disappointed. My order included Boneless Jerk and rice, Oxtail and rice + peas as well as a side of mac and cheese. My disappointment laid with the boneless jerk - this was literally two big seasoned chicken breast fillets (not even cut up) and felt like it was cooked in an oven and not in a drum (not that it was advertised as that) but was somewhat dry and flavour was only on the outside. Unfortunately, I spent £11+ on a meal I won’t eat. With the Oxtail with rice and peas, the rice was mushy/soggy which was a huge shame. I really wish this would’ve been more of a positive review but I have to be honest. That said, the staff were extremely pleasant and the service was good. It could be the case of me choosing the wrong meal but who knows?!

Carribean food that's refreshingly good.

Nice food friendly staff, Customer service was very good,owner builds a rapore with customers. Good range of dishes. I bought a few dishes all tasted good, fritters where top notch. Shop decorated to a good standard, Would recommend this shop 100%

Fantastic Find!

Awesome food, everything we tried was amazing. Made with love and passion, great friendly and knowledgeable staff. I had dinner for 4 people and the portions were generous and tasty. The only downside is we could not find a menu either online or printed so hd to guess what they did. Their Instagram is mainly a lot of pictures (fairly useless and no real information), Facebook was very out of date and their website pretty poor. Having said that, we will be back. Thank you

Outstanding food

I've just recently came out of hospital all I craved was some good soul food firstly the owners made me feel very welcome polite courteous couple secondly the food where do I start it was outstanding I had jerk pork which melted in your mouth rice and peas coleslaw and salt fish fritters I salivated every mouthful thankyou to the amazing team at jemz for satisfying my craving it was spot on I can't wait to eat here again 😋 lynnxxx

As a curious person and love great taste good woman I decide to visit "Jemz" very spontaneously, while for reason God show me this place. In first option I find myself very happy about atmosphere and music 🎶 there ! Something what my soul needed 😂👌💕 Those people are very friendly and they have a wall of achievements what shows that they work smart for what they have today and they succeed for sure . So I do not only have occasion to try dilicious ,home prapare Caribbean food, but also as a vegetarian I made my self full 😂🤫🤭 Each bit of food was for me as a step to paradise 😍 I love food haha 😂 so it was double pleasure 😋 I ate rice with beans - mmmmm mniam !! 😍 I do not remember all names while I will attach photo . Even side salad 🥗 was very creamy and perfect for this dish . On the end I blow my tongue 😂 with carrot 🥕 cake 🎂 and apart from very sweet top I do enjoy 🤠 Thank you 😊❤️ Happy customer 👌✨💃

When i get dj jobs in Bedford or Luton, i always visit Jemz, delicious food, and great service, wish it opened on sundays, so i can get my sunday dinner, and worth travelling 40 miles to sample quality food.
