Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Food quality very good, it was warm tasted fresh. Steamed Seabass was excelled. Just need to allow a little bit of a wait. So if they say 7pm pick up tun up 15 mins later and do expect to wait. But worth the wait.

By far and away the best chinese you will find for authentic homestyle food. Yes it is a small cafe with only 10 covers but you will go a long long way to find anywhere serving homemade dumplings. As well as the dumplings we ordered har gau, and pork bao followed by Shanghai fillet steak, duck in plum sauce and Singapore vermicelli. All were excellent. My boys said they want to go back again soon. High praise indeed.

The food was so bland and inoffensive you could serve it in a hospital. Even the prawn crackers weren’t worth eating. Don’t bother with it.

Where shall I start? Address given is wrong, driving around to find the place, had to ring…at least 2 miles away than what Tripadvisor page denotes! Telephone number and menu/website is correct. And there is no restaurant or takeaway in the original location(15 Oxford Rd, Altrincham), which is in the better part of town. This turned out to be similar to a standard Chinese takeaway you see in every street corners and located at 68 Manchester Rd, Altrincham WA14 4PJ Take a look on Google street view and look at the photos on tripadvisor…. There is no relation whatsoever. I suspect the reviews, all 4 and 5 which lead us to this place. Ok lets see the food. Chicken and prawn dishes were same except for some chilli added, average. Duck was obviously out of the fridge, floating in a nondescript fluid. The plain noodles with beansprouts was the best of the lot, decent. Some one had commented the steamed buns were very good…they were awful, sorry, the dough had not cooked properly, pasty, cracked - a pre-frozen thing if you ask me. If you want a takeaway after a late night, this is ok.

Have regularly enjoyed food since it opened. Predominantly take-away but room for customers to eat in. Very reasonable prices, owners are lovely and happy to discuss menu.

Walked by at 3 pm, young lady came out and gave us two menus. Son said, check for takeaways! Did, back later in day. Ordered, noting that back page of menu is in chinese, including interesting brisket and fish dishes. Young Chinese schoolboy waiting for t/away order. Back; had to wait 15 mins even though time given earlier. But-the food was excellent, back at local Travelodge. Spring rolls- 3 for disabled son and one for me, juicy+tasty. S&P spare ribs, perhaps too much chilli for my sensitive stomach but A1. Sweet and sour chinese and fillet steak Shanghai v. tasty. But latter is also a tad hot for me. Large portions, more than enough for two-residue taken home to Clitheroe! Plus, not mega expensive, especially in Cheshire, where one needs at least professional football in relationship to buy a shed-joke??

A hidden gem that simply serves fresh and tasty Chinese food. Have returned many occasions since to sample different dishes. A must try for all walks of life. If you are adventurous foodie there is a Chinese menu that offers sea bass lobster etc, just ask the owners for more details.

My husband and I had lunch here today. Great spring rolls and a huge portion of delicious pork dumplings, ramen for me and katsu curry for him. Plus green tea which was refilled during our meal. Everything was very fresh tasting, well presented, plentiful and delicious. The lady who served us was also lovely and welcoming and the cafe was very clean. We felt it was good value for money and will definitely be returning and also ordering from them on Just Eat. Our new favourite Chinese :)

Bright clean place, super friendly staff. Huge portions for the price so we had far too much. But was perfect for taking home for the next day too! Hidden gem, will return
