You can't ask for much more from a casual pub! Recently refurbished interior, great and very filling meals and cold beers. The drinks selection is quite good, although I would recommend sticking to the brewery's own brand drinks!

It was a nice atmosphere in the Moss Trooper , staff were friendly but felt they had rushed my afternoon tea event. Firstly guessed had their backs to each other when I asked for this not to happen , sandwiches were minimal and cakes were...too many. The stands were for 4 people not 2 leaving everyone wondering . I asked for juice and lemonade for the tables but only one jug of orange , leaving my guests to go to the bar. On a whole I am disappointed when myself and my sister were treated with the upmost respect previously. It costs a lot of money and didn’t feel it was worth it.More

We ordered the ale pie (£13.95)it was burnt meat in a pastry I shown it to the waiter is reply was I should have complained,then he walked away.The worst meal I have ever had

Came here last night with about 25 colleagues for dinner. We had booked and pre ordered and were so well looked after. Wonderful service and delicious food made a great end to a long school day!

Great service, great food and great atmosphere. Would thoroughly recommend this place. Having a disability with mobility, the staff were very accommodating too.

Called in The Moss for a meal with friends , and to watch The Colin Paul Elvis Show , on Sunday. This guy is superb , and really packs the place out . The food was excellent too , and a great improvement on our...last visit. ......so congratulations to your new Chef !! But as the hospitality industry is really struggling, I would have hoped that the three women front of house would have been a little more welcoming , to maybe entice us to re-visit , been a little less rude , and perhaps learn to smile. They managed to spread a little gloom on what could have been a perfect evening . Lighten up Ladies . You're in Hospita;ity , not working for G4S !!!More

Visiting friends so our first visit. Friendly attentive staff and good service. We had variety of dishes, my sea bass risotto was excellent! Couldn’t fault any of the food and generous portions. Would recommend!

My food was overcooked and my partners was bland staff didn’t come over to ask how your meal was left in disgust definitely wouldn’t go again far better food locally

Staff were absolutely amazing! Would recommend a million times over! The food was superb. The tender was genuine and kind. We even got to meet some dog friends 👌🏽👍🏼
