Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Good food, polite service, portions too small. Atmosphere slightly dull/dark interior. Meat was tasty, red meat a little on the salty side, chicken very tender. Qabuli pilau brilliant - came hot , well presented and meat was very tender. No hard rice which is always a pleasant surprise in restaurants Curries flavoursome however portion sizes again very small and disappointing.

A friend and I had dinner here. They don't serve alcohol but you can bring your own, and there's an off licence next door and opposite. The food was extremely tasty and the portion sizes were large. Couldn't ask for much else really.

I would not spend that amount here for 🥘 food here because I can strongly recommend other places better. The food was below average. Did not taste like Afgan Charsi Karahi, chicken biryani is not on the bone and not much chicken in it. Again taste was ok and did not seem fresh nan were hard as papadoms. Service was also poor nothing that would stand out. If your coming to enjoy food then look else where.

I visited Kabul palace restaurant With my friends, we were welcomed by a polite member of staff and were seated. The food came quite quickly and was of great portion sizes, defo a good value for money and the grill and chapli kebab was out of this world. Would definitely recommend. The staff were so friendly and outgoing, we felt very welcomed and would give 5* for service. They were very busy at the time but still ensured that we received the best service and the most delicious food. Would definitely visit Again and again!

Our family are regulars at this place, as the only Afghan restaurant in the area, and always book for big events use and regular family dinners. The food has always been good but the service used to be rather slow and inattentive (we'd never get asked about drinks, or if we needed anything else etc). Come eat-out-to-help-out and chaos has ensued. There is no such thing as social distancing inside or outside the restaurant, and in true Slough fashion I was sworn at for asking someone in the queue to step back a few paces to maintain a distance (not the restaurant's fault but it set the tone for the evening). During EOTHO they aren't taking reservations like other restaurants so we had to queue in the cold for 1.5 hours. When we were seated, I wrote the entire group of 6's orders down on a phone note so I could read it out to the waitress to avoid confusion. They didn't have a few of the dishes so I had to change a couple of things but changed the note accordingly so I had a record of what to expect. She didn't double check the order or ask about drinks but I had been very clear so I didn't think anyone could mess it up. I was wrong. 2 of our family were left without food well after everyone had received theirs and a random extra item turned up. '?Zahra' the waitress was very blunt and unapologetic when she realised she had input the order incorrectly on their system and told us we'd have to wait at least another 20 minutes to somewhat rectify the situation (it was 11pm by this point and we'd been queuing since 9pm). I went up to the desk to check with the pleasant lady that had given us our table, as she was in charge. At this point ?Zahra approached and became very verbally aggressive and defensive, and actually changed her tune and insisted I'd told her the order wrong, having admitted her mistake a few minutes before. I was appalled at the way she spoke to me and denied that I'd literally read the order out to her and had a copy. Everything was sorted by the other lady in the end and food was fine but our extended family of 20 regular customers won't ever be returning if they think they can treat people like that. Summary- never encountered such a rude waitress. I understand they are busy and it was the end of the day but that's never an excuse to speak to a customer in such a way. Time to find a new Afghan restaurant!

Kabul was recommended to me by a friend so I recently tried it with my family. We all thought it was very good. We ordered veggie samosas, chicken tikka masala and chicken sabzi with rice and nan bread. Really tasty and nicely spiced. Good portion of rice and naan was large enough to share.I was particularly impressed with the masala as it had a nice heat to it. Best we’ve had in a long time. Will definitely dine in and order from Kabul again soon.

Date of the visit: 31st March 2019 Time: 6:30 - 8:00 Party size: 2 adults, 2 kids (15 and 12) Spent: £65 I was recommended this place by someone in High Wycombe as he said they are much better than Taste of Pakistan so wanted to give them a try. I looked at the website and menu and realised that they don’t offer Charsi Karahi, so called up the restaurant and was told yes we do and it is 45 minutes to prepare. We were very impressed and were looking forward to this and therefore ordered. I am afraid to say it lacked taste and it was too much masala and for £34.99 l would expect less bones and more meat. No proper naan like Taste of Pakistan and kebabs were ok and Kabli pilau was just ok too. We found no taste. Now people reviewing and praising the food must try out Taste of Pakistan. Maybe we have been spoilt before and to used to of the taste, but Kabul Palace was a disappointment for us. Yes it is clean and gives more of a up market restaurant but they must improve taste and on top of that offer less dishes and develop authentic taste. DISCLAIMER: I have no personal affiliation with Taste of Pakistan. I love food and look for tasty food when out and about.

We came upon this restaurant while strolling down the High Street of Slough. The environment was very cosy and welcoming. The service was courteous and efficient. We ordered the chicken chapli kebab and lamb keema with naan. The naan was freshly made and was just the right texture (not too hard, but soft and easily breakable). The lamb keema was well cooked and a little spicy. The chicken chapli kebab was very tender and just perfect with the naan. For dessert we had baclava. It tasted even better than the baclava I have had in some restaurants in London. Definitely worth trying. Ideal for couples and families.

We friends visited Kabul Palace for late lunch. We were slightly pushed for the order despite we were only in the queue. Once we decided it was served in good time at our table. Food was all served together which left nan bread slightly cold. Mahicha Kabali Pilao’s llamb piece was well tender to eat. After 5pm free parking outside Jobcentre which is couple in minutes walk and after 6pm free all nearby road parking.
