What a gem. The food here is fabulous and the portions are very generous indeed. Efficient friendly staff too.

Had a very nice and reasonably priced meal. The bar area was packed even out of season and had a mix of regulars and visitors young and old. Thoroughly recommend it.

Found this pub, while on business. Friendly staff, with a good choice of food. I had the pork chop, in a creamy bacon sauce. It was nice, but had been microwaved. I know this, as I ordered, went to the toilet, less then a minute later it turned up. Good size portion, and I would go again.

Can't fault this pub. Staff are great, very helpful and professional. Food is really good, portions are huge. It's a seaside resort so expect fish and chips! These are great. Recommend to all.

After the shocking experience we had at The Pynes Restaurant at Bedford Hotel, we left so we could have dessert somewhere else and discovered this little gem of a place. The atmosphere was buzzing, there were no tables available but they said to stay and we would get sorted out. Two of our group sat down and the staff brought... More

We had the family down for the day and had pre-booked a table for 5 adults at 6.30 on Easter Saturday. The pub was buzzing even at 6.30 and we were very glad we had booked. We had a nice round table in the rear restaurant. We ordered four starters and five mains and the starters arrived after about 15... More

Visited the restaurant on a Sunday evening but was not impressed with the scampi that was bordering on being burnt and was probably cooked using old oil. However the cask ales were nice.
