We went to visit the swan inn after reading some excellent reviews, to be told they "didn't have a license for children"... I've heard of pubs not allowing family's in during the evening, but this was for a family meal on a Wednesday at lunchtime! Absolutely appalled, and were told we were not allowed in. Disgusted!

8 of us had lunch in this very traditional establishment. Service good and food excellent. Good value for money. This place was a recommendation and was up to expectation.

Excellent food, piping hot and seved quickly. Well kept ales from Young's brewery. The best bit - no tv screens and no canned muzak - what a pleasure to find a pub where the customers talk to each other and laugh out loud. A little gem of a pub.

Visited lunchtime and then evening on a Friday. Pleasantly surprised that the pub met all expectations gathered from the positive reviews below and more. The pub is a proper locals pub and the regulars and staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is very good typical pub fare and the dining part of the pub was packed both lunchtime and... More

The sign on the door says "odd looking dogs and gingery whiskered ones allowed inside. So in we went - and it's a nice friendly pub with great food and some nice real ales and cider. They don't have scratchings for the dog, but the free dog biscuits made up for it. There is a beer garden at rear, but... More

The Swan is a real local pub that provides both good food and drink. It's a very friendly pub with an old world atmosphere. My only complaint is that perhaps the prices are a little higher than other local businesses. Nevertheless I would highly recommend it for locals and holiday makers alike.

This is a traditional English Pub. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is cozy. This is where the locals go. It is small so if going for dinner call ahead.
