My friend Paul & I have eaten here on a few occasions & each time has been excellent & James' sense of humour just adds to the experience (very funny). We would only go elsewhere if it was closed. Highly recommend & in our opinion, the best fish & chips in town (oh & gravy & curry sauce)!

Didn't have great expectations but pleasantly surprised. The first two fish and chip shops in Scarborough were closed (2.30pm) but really pleased as this was fab.

Another fabulous visit to the fish pan. Excellent fish and proper chip's with mushy peas, very tasty. Fantastic staff, especially James, nothing's too much trouble, an asset to the establishment. Well done to the fish pan, will be back again very soon.

When I checked this was the second highest chippy in Scarborough. We'd been a few times before but I'd never wrote a review. I went in with my wife and kids. Service was friendly and quick, bringing colouring pages for the children. All of this was great throughout. I ordered Cod and Chips, as did my wife. The kids got... More

Ignore the negatives which say don't get your F&C on the seafront. Had the 8oz Cod Special with mushy peas, tea and B&B. It was SUPERB! Chunky Cod in a light distinctive batter. If you want to go large with the 14oz then be prepared, it's a whopper. The 8oz way way enough for each of us. The chips were... More

Have visited before and always been fine Went yesterday for a take away. Fish chips and peas... The chips were all the small overdone ones and the fish was really hard and over done. Like it had been standing for a while . My husband actually left his 😥 And gentleman serving was very miserable... Maybe having a bad day!

Friendly welcome and service. Fabulous fish and chips provided at a reasonable price. The batter on the fish tasted great and the chips were lovely

Go here if you enjoy burnt fish which is two days old if anything. Really awful and not cheap either. Walk 100 yards further north, I wish we had!
