A friendly welcome and delicious teas and light lunches. You can sit inside but we enjoyed sitting in the garden with the Winn brook bubbling away. Winsford is well worth a visit and if you do you must enjoy Roy and Teresa's hospitality. The food was all home made and very fresh. We went back more than once.

We've been here several times in recent years when on holiday in the Exmoor area and each time we've found staff friendly and helpful. Food on offer is English home style, well prepared with quality local ingredients and presented with care. An ideal starting-point, stop-over or destination when walking or driving on Exmoor.

We looked up the tea rooms on their website and found they were open from Tuesday to Sunday, so we arrived Tuesday morning to find a note on the gate saying they were now closed Mondays and Tuesdays. We decided to go back Sunday for breakfast, they do not open until 10.30 so we arrived at 11.15, after reading the... More

We walked from Exford to Winsford with our two border collies and found this delightful headroom waiting for us. We sat outside with our boy's and were waited on by a delightful young man who made us very welcome. We had our first delicious introduction to the food from this extremely pleasant eatery. The sandwiches , cakes (particularly the cheese... More

Went here for breakfast on our 'going home' day. Great selection of breakfast choices including 'light' or 'large'! The staff were really welcoming, and changing one option to another was no trouble at all. The breakfast was really good, just like a home-cooked one, and lovely tea and coffee. Selection of local art works on the wall for sale, and... More

Just browsing the Internet for a place to have Sunday Lunch and came across the Bridge Cafe, booked by email, lovely replies and on a very busy Sunday were ready and waiting for us. The meal was absolutely lovely, puds out of this world. Staff very friendly and although rushed took time to have a word. Amazing find.

After driving around Exmoor for more than an hour looking for Tarr Steps, then walking around it for 2 hours. We came away thirsty and hungry. Then after about another 30mins we found this place. Beautiful setting. Staff very friendly. Ordered 2 ploughman's, they were the best we have ever had. Worth hunting this place out delightful

Spent a wonderful sunny 2 hours at Bridge Cottage on Saturday. Really good selection of food, pleasant friendly staff, nothing to much trouble. Good old fashioned service with a smile. Will certainly return. Thank You.
