Great delicious food, freshly prepared. Great service from Mamoon as well. Will definitely visit again and recommend for good Indian food in the locality.

We had a lovely evening. The staff were friendly and efficient and the place was clean and pleasant. Everyone enjoyed their meal, although two of us were disappointed, one of us ordered ‘butter chicken’ the other ‘chicken tikka masala’ our dishes were definitely not either...of those! They tasted identical, although one was red coloured the other pinky, very sweet and strongly coconut no spice at all - very odd. Others in our party enjoyed their meals tho’ so maybe chef has a problem coking the dishes we chose.More
This is my first time to this restaurant, and I had a lovely meal in clean pleasant surroundings served by a professional team. I was at the park right outside and was welcomed from the moment I walked in. The decor and restaurant is clean,...tidy and well run. The menu is pretty standard UK Indian food. All the favourites are there and I enjoyed the Tandoori mix grill. The curry was nice and the service was excellent. I’ll return again when I’m next in the area.More
Placed an online order at 16:55 for delivery at 18:00. Restaurant opened at 17:00 Food still hadn’t arrived at 18:15 so telephoned only to be met with the usual driver on his way, he’s already left, he won’t be long. At 18:30 I still hadn’t...had my food delivery so I telephoned back again, Oh Hi ma’am he left ten minutes ago, funny that as you said he’d already left when I called at 18:15! Called again at 18:40 by this time I’m standing in the road awaiting said delivery driver explaining to the restaurant he’s still not here! Finally at 18:45 said delivery driver arrives with said food costing £47.24 which is now just Luke warm and the whole bag is swimming in my food at the bottom of the bag. This is totally unacceptable all I got was a sorry nothing else. Sick to death of people lying through their back teeth with pathetic excuses. I used to eat here a lot but never again will my money go into their pockets!More
Had an amazing dinner, the food was quick to arrive and tasted delicious, The service was very good too
Decided to try this restaurant while staying over in hotel.having read reviews was quite looking forward to trying the food.well cannot fault the food and the staff started with the normal poppadoms with the normal sides.a little twist was the dessicated Coconut served with the...sides.mains were lamb balti and chicken biryani both came pipping hot and quite large portions.a glass of lemonade and a large kingfisher beer nearly £12 far to expensive as the lemonade was quite flat the lamb balti was more than enough and the biryani was very nice lots of chicken and and nice side dish of vegetable sauce total bill just short of £47 certainly not cheap unfortunately eating out now has become a luxury so were you would eat out maybe once a week it's now for some once a month if not more the restaurants fault as some of the expenses they incur are increasing but please be careful you don't price yourself out of businessMore
Ordered a delivery, chicken tikka masala very very sweet and a cheese Nan but got a peshwari Nan instead with sultanas and coconut which made the dish super super sweet !!! Ughh !! The Nan package clearly says cheese or cheddar….
This is easily one of the best places in Luton , the service here is the best service I’ve ever had . They ask repetitive times for assurance , they allow you to take your time and they ask how long from the starter and...main you want to eat . You feel peaceful and comfortable and even when busy , it doesn’t seem like they are trying to push you out. The food here is great ! Great flavours and spice , great naan, delicious starters and the 10/10 customer service tops it off. Don’t be discouraged by the visuals of the restaurant, the vibes are great here and so is the food and the customer service . One of the greatest places in Luton . Well Done ! 10/10 !More
We found this wonderful place using Google maps whilst staying at a nearby hotel for the weekend- what a find! I rang ahead to check there was a table available and it was on the ground floor as my elderly mum was with us. We...were seated within 10 minutes of making the call on a lovely table. The restaurant was already pleasantly busy which was a good sign. The food was absolutely delicious- we could not fault it. We started the pickle tray, then had various starters. Our main courses were fabulous, my chicken Dansak (my all time favourite) was the best I had had in years, and sundries were fabulous too. Attentive service too- cannot recommend highly enough.More
Visited the restaurant during a work trip as saw good ratings on TripAdvisor. Went early evening so was quiet when I arrived but when I left it was much busier & also heard delivery orders being taken, so a decent sign of quality. Only had...a main & went for the tandoori chicken naga as I hadn’t tried that before; also had rice & a garlic naan. The menu stated that the option was very hot (the same as vindaloo) and I do like a spicy curry but not one that makes you sweat & not possible to eat. The curry was a very nice consistency, the tandoori chicken was well cooked and the heat does not hit straight away but is delayed which I appreciated. Excellent meal that I totally finished off and that is rare for me. If you like a spicy curry, I highly recommend visiting the JayRaj and trying the Naga.More

I have been looking for decent Indian food in Bedfordshire and around. While i was in Luton looked up for best ratings and visited for a takeaway. Very disappointed with the tasteless chicken Biriyani and other stuff. I have get home to spice it up...and add salt to even make it palatable. Absolute waste of £60 for 3 dishes.More
I always used Jay Raj as it was exceptional, so I was surprise when I ordered a dish a found it was swimming in juicy and hardly any meat. The naan’s were small and miserable looking. In my opinion they are trading on past glory,...the food is over priced and to a sub standard level. Save your money and go elsewhere, on a plus point the staff are always courteous.More
