Really surprised you cannot pre-book at the Hide and Hoof restaurant, especially with current Covid situation. We had around a 25 minute wait in the queue outside to be seated. Fortunately the sun was out so not too bad a wait, except for our toddler! The service was very friendly.
There was a fairly long wait for food once we had ordered. However the food was excellent when it arrived. The meal was good value, actually as we went on a Monday and they are participating in the current government discount scheme it was truly excellent value for money.
Inside the tables were well spaced out, hand sanitiser is available and they appear very well setup to meet requirements for the current Covid situation. The toilets are very good too.
We had ice cream afterwards (went outside to the kiosk for that after the meal) it was excellent also.
Despite my comments regarding the long waits I would very much recommend and would be happy to return.

On a cold, chilly Thursday morning myself and a friend called in for brunch. It was warm and welcoming with all the staff smiling and friendly. Our server Teresa was attentive and helpful and our food delicious. We had the eggs Benedict and the Espanola. Both beautiful and plentiful. The pots of tea were large which was welcome. Prices reasonable too with 2 brunch and 2 teas coming in at £20.80.

We live in Cambridgeshire and were visiting our friends in Yorkshire. They have eaten at Yummy Yorkshire many times and wanted to give us the experience.
It is very very popular and it is not unusual to see a queue out of the door but on our visit we were lucky. The staff were prompt at acknowledging us needing a table for 4 so we had a little wait until a suitable table came free.
The young girls serving at our table were friendly and greeted us with a smile. The ambience in the restaurant is lovely and the decor in fitting with the farm setting.
I had the Eggs Royale and it was very "yummy". All the food served looked very appetising, and presented on the plate with care.
If you haven't been then trust me, go and you won't be disappointed

Been many time I think it okay. Last time I want I ordered a waffle sundae with white chocolate and cherry ripple ice cream with white chocolate bits and sauce. Now she brings me the waffle with chocolate sauce and bits and I said no that’s wrong. She said I add white chocolate sauce on top to which I said no because I am not a fan of chocolate sauce. She bring it out again with the right sauce and I am eating it and I am not a fan of the ice cream I get up and check and it’s the wrong ice cream white chocolate and pomegranate 😶 I then talk to my friend who say I said white chocolate and raspberry ripple. She hasn’t come to check it the food is okay so I had to buy more ice cream and scrap the yuk ice cream off. I mention at the end value it being wrong and having to buy more ice cream and they just shrugged it off not impressed. When I was younger and waitresses if I made a mistake I would of double checked the order. She got the order completely wrong.

Well what can I say about Yummy Yorkshire! We returned because we had such a great experience the first time and we were not disappointed - in fact on the contrary.
The location is stunning with beautiful views and the added outside seating area really does compliment the restaurant.
The welcome was just as warm and friendly as the last visit and Teresa is so lovely and approachable and she exhibits just the right amount of attentiveness. Nothing is too much trouble and every request is listened to and, if possible, actioned.
And to top it all off, there is a plentiful and varied menu to suit all tastes.
We'll be back Yummy Yorkshire!

We timed our trip quite poorly at the crossover point between breakfast and lunch so we ended up waiting around 30 minutes for a table with a high chair. Our 18 month old was getting a little restless and cranky but a nice lady behind the bar Allison offered a drink of water and a biscuit for our child that made such a difference. The food was amazing and came out very quickly. We will be back for more

The food is great!! Portion sizes are generous, quality is excellent and even as a vegetarian I love it!!
There's a small playground that the children enjoy and the ice cream and desserts are worth the drive too...
There's always a queue to get a table which I believe speaks for itself...
The only reason for 4* is because on occasion the service can be a bit too slow but other than this I can't fault anything!!

We walked from Thurlstone to Yummy Yorkshire, especially for an ice cream cone. They were serving from a temporary ice cream parlour, with socially distanced queuing. It was a miserable day when we went, but I cannot tell you how much of a treat the ice cream was. We did push the boat out, having a double cone with a flake. It had been a long time since we had ice cream out. The range of flavours was interesting. We did have a panic when we saw the chocolate tub was empty, but no worries, she had another one. There is plenty of parking, and some picnic benches. They also sell hot drinks. They have a take away service for hot food from the restaurant, although we haven't tried it yet. Well worth a visit. A treat in these difficult times.

Trying to support local business in a pandemic but were greeted by a waitress who tried to persuade us to use the take away on the car park. We didn’t really want to do this as it was a cool day and our granddaughter wanted ice cream. We did get in and it wasn’t busy but then waited a good half hour for service. They only had a very limited choice of ice cream in the restaurant which was odd as they make it on site and have a large selection in the take away. We ordered coffee and cake for the adults and Ice cream and a drink for our granddaughter. The ice cream was mostly melted liquid when it came and the coffee was just warm. The waitress brought no cake and when I told her we had ordered some she shrugged and continued clearing the next table. After 10 more minutes I went to see where the cake was and the waitress snapped. ‘I’m getting it now!’ I returned to the table and she brought one very small slice of cake. When we said we’d ordered two she simply disappeared and brought another - no apology. The whole experience was very disappointing. Won’t be rushing back.

Popped in for a spot of breakfast Sunday morning, and all I can say is what a waste of time and money...
After being seated we should have known this would be a disaster after the table of 5 next to us left after ordering a second round of drinks as they were still waiting for food, they had clearly had enough and just walked out.
Coffee and orange juice took over 20 minutes to arrive, and breakfast nearly an hour.
The food I had was so awful I barely touched it, the waitress never even asked if everything was ok with the food just if she could take the plates. Horrendous customer service.
Simply avoid this place!

I have a number of anaphylactic allergies. When I asked what was in the seasoning for the chips the staff were very helpful. The chef requested a list of my allergies so that he didn’t contaminate my food with other diners food. This is above and beyond what I expected. The staff were very understanding and kind. Usually I’m met with indifference or arguments. Food was excellent too. They were busy but we didn’t feel rushed. Great place to eat.

Yummy Yorkshire has always been one of our most favourite spots for breakfast, brunch, lunch and, of course, ice cream. We can always count on a friendly atmosphere, super helpful staff and the most delicious, farm-fresh food. Even now, amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Yummy Yorkshire have adapted their services to offer 'Call and Collect' and still provide us with our creature comforts. We've particularly enjoyed the ingeniy 'Cone to Home' collection: ten scoops of ice cream, four cones and four flakes, all boxed up and ready to go. I cannot wait until things are back to normal, so that we can visit our old favourites once again.

Brilliant place to visit, the ice cream parlour is amazing. We took the children from our day care nursery 3 days in a row, our topic at the time was based around Ice cream and where it came from. We asked the children where we could get ice cream from and all the children suggested Yummy Yorkshire. Sian served us three days in a row with three different groups of children and each time she was so attentive and caring, even making sure there was vegan ice cream available for some of our dairy allergies.
We then got to visit the cows and their baby calf’s in the barns and the children were amazed, especially seeing the calf’s wearing coats because of the cold weather.
Brilliant place to visit even in February on a cold snowy day!

Its usually been good food in the past but dont know if theyve changed their Chef or menu etc recently but not good at all. Had the beef brisket sandwich, pulled beef which was dry in an awful tasting sauce served on a dry sub roll, served with a few rocket leaves for £9!! Used to be lovely sliced beef in gravy with onions on a toasted bread cake with homemade coleslaw and a salad with tomatoes & onions..why would you try & cut corners? My Friends burger was overcooked very bland and not like they used to be,overpriced wont be returning.

Took my family out for lunch, my parents and my elderly grandfather, although it was busy and there was a queue, the staff got us seated rather quickly and the service was exceptional. We were well looked after by our waitress Teresa who was very accommodating for my grandfather who wanted a smaller portion of one of the main dishes. She also got us some ice cream to save us having to queue up for dessert at the ice cream counter after we had finished. Fabulous food and great for a filling lunch!
