We’ve eaten in this restaurant twice, 2 weeks apart. Both times the food has been excellent. Starter, mains & desserts were beautifully presented & the quality & flavours amazing. This place deserves to be packed every night. The cocktails deserve a special mention too as...they were delicious. We are really looking forward to eating here again soon.More

We booked this hotel for dinner as it was recommended in the guide our hotel provided. Service was a little slow despite the restaurant being fairly quiet - they seemed quite under staffed. There also wasn’t much atmosphere in the restaurant. The meal was very...mixed - my wife really enjoyed both her starter and her main which she said was really tasty. Unfortunately both my starter and main were really disappointing. I had the Pil Pil prawns to start - these were nothing like the dish I have enjoyed in Spain - they were just tasteless and the dish wasn’t even hot. My main course was also very poor - I had the seafood linguine which contained over cooked seafood and even bits of shell in it. Overall a very disappointing first meal out on our stay in Folkestone…More

I had previously visited for an afternoon tea with family and had a lovely experience so chose here to host my friends hen celebration for 16. I paid a £75 deposit over the phone a few weeks before and received an email to confirm this....Arrived to a lovely set up at the back for us all. Food was lovely although had to ask for teas, coffee and water as had no cups or saucers out, the service was not massively forthcoming with this. Once all finished we felt the easiest way was for us to go up one at a time to pay for what we had including drinks, and minus the £5 deposit we all paid each. After a couple of the girls had gone up they came to me to say they had paid a lot more than expected and didn’t understand why. I went up to query and she said we had to pay in full as they £75 had already been taken off. There was a lot of confusion and I tried to explain if they just let everyone come up to pay minus the £5pp the bill would work out correct in the end. We ended up having to ask for the manager as the 2 girls sorting the bill were frustrated with us and became quite rude. We ended up spending 40 minutes sorting this when it should have taken 10. Discovered the original deposit I paid gad not been taken off by who I spoke to and I had to prove I paid it with my bank transaction and email, but still felt I wasn’t believed fully. Manager was as helpful as possible but really spoilt the end of what was a lovely afternoon.More

I went back after a visit with a friend for an end of a long day place to eat and relax. I sat in the bar because it is so wonderfully decorated and spacious. Great views of the sea. The staff were friendly and accommodating....The food was quick and delicious, great quality. I thoroughly enjoyed not being rushed. Reading my book. Relaxing and taking in my surroundings. Perfect end to my day. Worth noting in the bar they don't add on a tip to the bill and don't ask if you want to leave one so you need to say to ensure the lovely staff get that tip in recognition of their hard work.More

A friend and I had an evening meal here and it was faultless. Lovely food, excellent service, good atmosphere. Lots of street parking and a great location for a stroll along the seafront afterwards.

I booked for my husband and business friends to eat this evening. The gentleman on the phone went to great lengths to make sure it had registered on the system, however when they arrived they were told they didn't have a reservation but they managed...to fit them in anyway. The staff then went on to make them feel guilty for taking another person's table when more people turned up expecting to be seated where they were already sat. The food wasn't great to say the least and one of the lads was violently sick after having the mussels. I am annoyed my husband paid the bill because if I had been there I would have done no such thing. Poor service, poor food and zero recommendation or return.More

I had high expectations and unfortunately was disappointed but only on food as the staff were amazing and couldn’t help enough we asked for medium and medium rare steaks and the chef did a great chefs worst nightmare and did them both well done and...were over seasoned I’ve never understood how a chef can get a steak so wrong when I can do better in my own home and I’m not a chefMore
