Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great value for money. Clean oil for the chips, beautiful mussels and great service. Really enjoyed the food and venue.

I ordered the Spanish mussels. Staff very friendly . The mussels so tasty some of the best I have had . Great value for money . Lovely chunk of bread to help mop up the sauce.

Regular at the Goods Yard but wanted to swerve the Saturday drinkers so headed up the Harbour Arm for a seafood fix. This was circa 7pm and the places on the arm had sold out of mussels and was directed to the Gods Yard. Was...served swiftly and efficiently by the team and the wait with a beeper and cold pint was 10 mins max. Moules Mariniere with frites and a chunky piece of bread for £12 was massive value before I tucked in - after I’d tasted them it was a bargain. Genuinely pleasantly surprised by the quality of offering and service on a busy Saturday. Been in Folkestone a while and not tried before, will now be a regular stop offMore

We had the Thai and the Rochfort mussels and both were first class and excellent value for money at £12 a portion. As good as I have had in expensive restaurants. Will definitely return. I understand that it had to be served in recyclable containers...and cutlery, which is the only downside, but next time will bring my own spoon.More

Passed this place by chance on a rainy day and tempted to try out the mussels. Sat in the carriage with stunning views over the sea to Dover, classic vocal jazz playing in the background. Perfect setting for plump and perfectly cooked mussels. And a...glass of Chapel Down dry white wine. Good size portions, great frites and simple hunk of bread (probably should have had the soughdough). Will go again if I return to Folkestone.More

Went here specifically for the poffertjes. They were soggy and falling apart, no shape to them. Disappointed. Staff need better training to know how to cook them.

My grandmother was Dutch and we have enjoyed some delicious poffertjes whilst in the Netherlands but these were burnt and disgusting. The poor girl behind the counter in the little shed was very flustered and couldn't cope which was a shame.

Have been coming here probably 2 or 3 times a year. Mussels are always good but today's were amazing. Huge juicy mussels, lovely creamy sauce, perfectly cooked fries and chunk of bread. The staff are friendly and chatty. Weather was warm for this time of...year so are outside but next time might try their new venture 'sea shells' . Meant to take a photo but got too excited when food arrived - maybe next time.More

Seafood/shellfish from a mobile van makes you a bit weary but was really surprised at the mussles. Loads in the portion, all opened in the steam, loads of fries and a huge chunk of bread. I couldn't finish it all. Piping hot and you can...see into the van so you can see it was all cooked to order. Slightly messy though, so it would have been helpful for them to provide some wet wipe type things.More
