Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Rough pub in a nice area. Some of the customers let it down. The beer garden is too small, shame they cant expand into the green area next to it.

Great to be back in the pub for Sunday lunch. We both had roast lamb with all the trimmings. The lamb was tender and there was lots of it, and plenty of gravy. I still managed to tuck away a sticky toffee pudding and ice...cream. No draught real ale at the moment, but understandable given the number customers in pubs. Great selection of bottled beers. Very good value, 2 roasts, 3 pints and a pudding for just under £30.More

We stayed overnight in the pub car park in our motorhome (which they allow if you call ahead) we were on route to France via Eurotunnel. We ate in the pub, food was good and very cheap! 3 adults and 2 kids ate for £26....Staff were friendly. Would visit again if travelling that way in the future.More

We made our way to this pub by walking through what looked like a really posh and expensive estate so I was really surprised by what I experienced when we went in. It was a bit run down and scruffy and all of the locals...seemed to look at us when we entered so I never really felt at ease during our stay. The menu was also very limited and the other issue was that we were asked to move as we were sat in someone’s seat who was taking part in the quiz (I’m sure it is the first time I’ve ever been asked to move after finding a seat in a pub?) The food was cheap and it was ok however not somewhere I would return to if back in the area at any time.More

As a stranger to the area, was looking for an evening meal and saw the Tourist Board brown sign on the main road -- and very glad I did! Excellent meal -- attentive staff -- very friendly and efficient landlord/manager

Took my parents out on Sunday for a lovely roast dinner at the Master Brewer. We had a choice of lamb, turkey or beef; having chosen the lamb, it was beautifully cooked with a very generous portion; the vegetables and roast potatoes were all excellent...too Great choice of desserts - would recommend the spotted dick!! Excellent service and really good value!More

We were on our second night in our hired motorhome and decided to give this pub a go. It was great; the food good as well with home cooking. They even let us stay the night in their carpark and so a win/win for us.

Ok the menu is not extensive but for good home cooked food it takes some beating. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff make this pub. The outside decking is covered and there's extra seating as well. Perhaps some steak on the menu would be good! Great...fish and wonderful chips with steak and kidney pudding well worth a mention.Set n the heart of Brodhead Village it's a peaceful place to while away time. DMore

Our Hotel was not serving food on the night due to kitchen problems so we did a brief search, saw the sign and ended up in this excellent pub. A very warm welcome, excellent, friendly service and lovely food. Complemented by very reasonable prices. It...was obviously popular because by the time we left, the pub was full of local people who had come to eat and enjoy the Pub Quiz night!!More

This pub is run by Pavel and his wife who is the cook.Shepherd Neame pub but only Master brew on offer. Not even spitfire by the bottle. You can buy polish drinks here if that's your pleasure. There is a basic menu. The roast dinners...were well cooked but nothing special. The place is mostly quiet apart from on Thursdays when the place fills for quiz night. There is a pool table , decking area for smokers. There is a grassed area with a duck pond. The pub is 30 years old and is in Broadmead village. There are local shops near by.More
