We stopped here for lunch. The food was well-cooked and a reasonable price. There was also plenty of it. The staff were friendly and helpful. There's a large area for eating outside and the inside is decorated with lace curtains and checked tablecloths. There's a good range of food to choose from.

When you are in Godchild you need to have a cream tea! Very close to the large, free (!) car park, the tea rooms are very easy to get to and attractive looking. We went on an extremely hot day but managed to find a shady spot outside near the bushes - we were a little concerned about wasps as... More

The best kept secret about Godshill is that in spite of being one of the locations that every tourist coach heads for, there is in reality almost nothing there! In summer, the village is always crammed with people trying to get into one of the surprisingly few shops or looking for the often promised cream tea. There is a large... More

Holidaying in Isle of Wight for a week we thought we must have a cream tea and Godshill seemed a great place to have one. The old world tea gardens was busy so we went there. However it was a little disappointing. We sat in the garden on plastic table and chairs and ordered two cream teas. We had to... More

Stopped off in this tea room attracted by the Gluten Free Cream Tea option. It was wheelchair accessible (outside tables). I had the gluten free cheese scones which were nice, being neither too solid nor too crumbly (GF plain scones were the alternative option), jam, clotted cream, pot of tea. Service was swift and friendly.

Came for family lunch. We had a coeliac with us and was very plesently suprised by the variety of food available. We all enjoyed what we had to eat and we were also suprised that we could order gluten free beer. The waitress was really plesent and attentive.

Called in after a morning strolling around Godshill. Had a shared cream tea with my mum, it was delicious. Great service, lovely garden to sit in. Sun shining was a bonus.
