Food we ordered was acceptable but not very hot . Fish and chips - fish was lovely but chips spikey and cold. Another family member had Mac and cheese also only Luke warm . The upstairs restaurant looks very sad and quite grubby . Food...over priced for this venue and cost of drinks ridiculous. Waiting staff were very friendly.More

A fabulous find for Sunday dinner. Incredibly friendly and efficient staff team, super food and a lovely location. Looked after my GF friend with care and all of us very much enjoyed our visit!

I’m general this is a very nice bar and restaurant but at this visit my roast (pork belly) was cold. Partially edible. I want offered any discount and hence felt the need to review here. Disappointed.

Absolutely the best Sunday roast we have had in a LONG time. Super friendly staff, great atmosphere in a great setting. Really reasonably priced! Highly recommended and would look for another place to stay close by, with the full intention of revisiting!!!

What a wonderful setting and the banks of the wye estuary and on a beautiful good Friday evening We arrive 6.45 for a 7.00 table up stairs We were shown to our modest table for two And we’re promptly asked would we like a drink...I said could see the wine list Our waitress said well we don’t have a wine list but I can tell you we have She said white or red or rose We said white please We chose a bottle Pinot Grigio and a bottle of Sauvignon blanc We were handed menus for food Very quickly we realised it was a limited menu But we saw a couple of things we fancied However the table next to us were shown it and decided not to eat saying that the menu of line was more extensive The food came within 10-12 minutes And it was well presented The burger for £13 wasn’t very tasty and I’d say that it was a frozen one My partner had the macaroni which had the most delicious pieces of bacon in it Then the bill came A double take was required on the one bottle of wine £29 for average bottle of Sauvignon And £17 for a bottle of Pinot Grigio I was a little taken back at the bill But paid it non the less My fault for not asking But surely avoided by having a wine listMore

Down by the river Wye and in a back street it's easily missed but well worth a visit. Great character, a good range of beers and very tasty food. All topped by friendly staff and great service.

Booked a table for six for mothers day. Food was fantastic and the pub is in a perfect location for a sunny day. The radiator next to our table was piping hot however the heating was turned off after we requested. Easy parking with the...drill hall car park a short walk away.More
