My first visit, lunchtime, and it was on business. No booze consumed. Seems like a pretty typical older pub. A bit dark inside but a great garden bar across the narrow road. My hamburger and chips, £10, was excellent! The beef pattie I'm sure was...More

As the other reviews have indicated, this pub, in a fantastic location, is underselling itself woefully. Came here recently with my partner and her family for a well earned beer after a long drive on a beautiful evening. Sadly there was nothing beautiful about our...More

Thank you for taking the time to review the boat inn, I do appollogise that you found us to be very busy, we did have an extremely high volume of customers on this occasion as the riverside wine bar had a private function, so instead...More

I visited The Boat as part of a large group for a presentation evening which included a buffet. It was put out and consisted mainly of 'brown' food (pasties, mini quiches sandwiches etc) Being vegetarian it wasn't obvious what any of the fillings were. I...More

Hello Caroline, Thank you for taking the time to review the boat inn, I appollogise that you feel we didn't quite get it right on this occasion. The vegetarian options were, quiche, egg mayonnaise sandwiches, salad and chips. I did advise the organiser that all...More

Hi tom, I’m so sorry to hear you have had a bad experience with us, a 40 minute wait for your meal during a quiet period is unacceptable and I have spoken to the kitchen staff about this matter. I’m not sure which sandwiches you...More

Enjoy a pint, have a meal. look at the river and the old bridge and as a bonus, if you are lucky spot the ospreys nesting up in the high cliff opposite. Listen for you will hear them first.
